Easter Week Crowds

Just got a notification that we no longer need a park reservation for the Monday after Easter which is VERY odd to me as this week is typically a large crowd week with 9-10s on the crowd calendars. Are we thinking it will have much lower crowds this year since Easter is so late? Is it super busy in the parks this week? I don't want to get my hopes up but this sounds great!

Due to the late date of Easter MOST schools have the week before off and some have the day after off but most would be headed home that day.
I wouldn't say low crowds but I also wouldn't say it will be swamped this coming Monday.

I use TP and crowds are currently anticipated to be 7 and 8/10 for most of the week. The week following (starting Sat, Apr 26th) seems to drop a bit so I would go in with guarded expectations of crowds next week (from today through Apr 25th)

We’ve been the week after Easter a few times & have found the crowds manageable. But we’re not open to close parks people & don’t do the major coasters. I love the resort Ester egg displays & regret planning our trip for May instead of Easter.

We are going to be there that week. I booked LLMP for top attractions in each park and there was plenty to choose from, so if that's any measure, it's not going to be super crazy.

I believe more hotels have availability also, compared to last year's Easter week. Right now Pop Century and 2 of the All Stars are still available. Pretty sure all of these were sold out last year.

Most New England states have the week after Easter off this year for their spring school vacation. Most NE schools usually have a week off in February and a week off in April for vacations. "Usually", they are the 3rd week in February (coincides with Presidents Day) and the 3rd week in April (coincides with Patriots Day in MA not Easter). My DD is long out of school, so I don't keep up with school vacations anymore, but this has been the norm for NE for a long time.

I'll be there Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.

I'm staying off site and my LL bookings opened up today and I was able to get some very early LLMPs. Especially for AK on Wednesday and MK on Friday.

I really wanted to do Flight of Passage and Guardians of the Galaxy so I splurged on those. I was able to ride on Tron when it still had its VQ.

We just got back from a week at WDW and it was much less crowded than our previous trips (always New England school vacation weeks). We bought LLMP and between that and my kids using the single rider lines we walked on to every single ride we wanted.

We stayed at AoA and were able to move to a closer building and better view at check-in so I think there was plenty of availability. The restaurant and pools were never too crowded, we didn't wait more than 10 minutes for a bus to/from any park - it was so relaxing and enjoyable.

In the Midwest it used to always be the week of Easter but now everywhere I look its always in March where the week lands then there is 1 or 2 days off for Good Friday and possibly Monday.

Update on crowds last week - They were very light in our opinion based on past experiences. We had LLMP for multiple days but really didn't need it most days. It was a nice break from the crazy crowds we usually experience.

4/19 was still pretty crowded but the weekdays of the following week (4/21-4/24) were a lot lighter
See, we felt that 4/19 was not crowded at all but maybe it was our timing. That was our arrival day so we started with looking at Easter eggs in the resorts and then headed over to Hollywood for dinner at Roundup Rodeo for dinner at 6 p.m. After dinner, we rode Rockin Roller Coaster, Toy Story, watched Muppets, rode Smuggler's Run and were going to ride Rise but it broke down so we watched Fantasmic instead. We felt that this was a good amount to get done with no passes in that short time but maybe the day time was more crowded than the night. (I always feel that Hollywood Studios is busier during the day.)

It was not as crowded as Christmas but still kinda crowded as the ending of the spring break x Easter. But it's true it's busier during the day.
Roundup Rodeo was pretty good! I was there the day before. You indeed got a lot done without LLMP!

I was there 4/22, 4/23 and 4/25.

On 4/22 and 4/23 I felt that the crowds were pretty light. I did have a lightning lane but was able to walk on to Tiana's, walk on to Space Mountain, and had next to no wait using single rider on Remy's and Rise. On 4/25 the crowds felt heavier at the MK but weren't as bad at DHS or Epcot. I actually went on several big attractions without a lightning lane on 4/25: TOT, Slinky, Frozen, Jungle Cruise, Tiana's and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Of that bunch I only had long waits for Slinky and Seven Dwarfs. The others were all 20 - 30 minute waits, if that.

Yes, I love the cheddar biscuits at Roundup Rodeo!! That is easily my favorite restaurant in Hollywood Studios!
