Easter Week (4/4-4/13), why aren't all times open yet?

I called today to make ADR's for our upcoming trip 4/4-4/13. While I was able to get some of my reservations, I couldn't get the Plaza, Crystal Palace or Turf Club.

I was told that the Plaza wasn't taking reservations past 5pm on 4/4 and cyrstal palace was not taking them past 5:20 on 4/11. Turf Club was not taking reservations past 6pm on 4/12.

Doesn't make sense since MK is open until 11 pm those nights and Turf Club is at SSR (why would a resort restaurant close early).

I had the same problems with ADR's for out Nov trip but it was because they did not have the official hours posted yet. April hours are posted and less than 90 days away.

Anyone else have trouble at MK this week or know why they are not accepting ADR's yet.

My booking date is tomorrow for our Easter trip, so I'll post back. Did you get an ADR for Easter day? I'm just wondering if they gave you any info on the 2009 restaurants offering brunch or whatever.

for easter I was able to get Chef Mickey's for Breakfast but I booked that a while back (you can book that at 180 days).

I tried Turf Club for Easter and was told it is closing at 6pm. Sorry but I don't buy the restaurant at SSR is closing at 6pm on Easter Sunday.

I actually have a reservation for Crystal Palace on the 13th - so I'm pretty sure they don't know what they're talking about.

I got CP for 5:20pm (wanted 6pm) on April 5, 2009. But I had the same problem as you for Yak & Yeti on April 9, 2009. It's my son's 17th birthday and this is where he would like to dine. Wanted 6pm, but could only get 5pm. CM told me that Yak & Yeti were only accepting dinner ADRs for 1 hour that day, 4pm-5pm. Said she wasn't sure why. I thought it was a little strange.

I posted on this awhile back but thought that for sure they would be open before my 90 day window came.
Well, it came and went, on Sunday...still being told CRT (of all places!!) is only open until 6pm that whole week! Crazy! One CM thought it could be b/c maybe there were P&Pparties scheduled those nights that got canceled and no one opened up the times...but that doesnt make sense...wouldnt the restaurants be open during the party?
As of now, there isnt much of a choice of where to eat dinner at a decent time on property! SOOOO frustrating!

Since reservations have been closed down for so long, and many people need to book, maybe they are releasing times gradually so that everyone has a chance to get something. I am there during busy Easter week 11-18 and I cannot call yet so I hope there are openings left or I will be cancelling my dining plan.

I just made all my dining ADR's for our Easter trip. I did easily get everything I asked for with the exact times I wanted, but the CM expressed uncertainty when it came to Easter day. She said only 2 restaurants show up as being covered by the dining plan on Easter day, and those are Crystal Palace and Captains Grill. (?) I'm new to the dining plan, so this is news to me. Anyway, I booked Crystal Palace and she said to call back in mid February to see about other Easter restaurants being added.

So....that was my experience. I did not ask for any ADR's past 6:00, so I don't know about that. I did book 2 restaurants for 5:30 and those were the latest times. I wish the online system was running -- it would be so much easier to be able to check things there rather than keep calling.....

I made most of my reservations on Monday for my before Easter week. One issue I had was Le Cellier (expected I could have problem there) where we had to split the party of 5 into 2 tables, and at Sci Fi (I did not expect a problem there) where I was told there are no 5 tops for dinner and lunch was available for 2:45 or two different times in the 3pm hour. I mentioned to the castmember "I don't believe there are 5 tops at Sci Fi", and got the idea that they were making us eat at an unattractive time because we are 5 and they want to fill the table during the more attractive times. I was not a happy camper, just don't know how my little guy will do (will be 1yr at time) waiting that long, and this is my DDs' must do restaurant each trip. (I don't even like the place all that much) I was on my 90+10 time and called at about 7:25am, had to wait for the kids to go to school, they don't know about the trip yet.
We also had to take 4:55pm for Tusker House. Said nothing after 5pm.
I really don't like the sound of what PP said about hardley any DP tables available on Easter, like there are different pools of availability? Makes me want to try and make the reservation without saying we are on the Dining plan, really don't want to be considered a 2nd class guest because we are on the dining plan. Hopefully it was a miscommunication or at least only a Holiday situation, but it does make me wonder.

just tried again for a CRT after 6pm and still being told they close at 6p. This CM said it is b/c that is what time the park closes...which is not true...i have the hours in front of me!

Can you not get a reservation at all, or just not at the time you want?

If the latter, it could be that they are expecting lower demand for the restaurant, and are keeping the hours shorter because of it.

is there a supervisor that someone can ask for when on line -

I have CRT already booked for Easter breakfast - thank goodness and usually we want to eat early as we usaully only eat 2 meals plus the snack anyway - so might be OK, but I am due to call on Fri for our ressies !

I wonder if they are opening up as available to make sure they are full - ya know open an hour - fill it, then open another hour????

I just have to say that I am so glad I found the Dis Boards. I called this morning to make my ADRs for our 4/4-4/11 trip and the CM told me that they werent taking reservations for that window yet I knew I was right. I even told him that I had recieved an email yesterday reminding me to book. He told me that it was "just the email they send to everyone." So I hung up very unhappy after he told me to check back every 3-5 days. I ran to the computer and hopped on the Dis just to verify. Then I called back. The CM was very nice and I was able to get all of my ADRs at the times I wanted give or take 10 minutes. So, if you're calling about ADRs, their system is just fine. CM Lamont told me it had crashed or some other nonsense. Don't give up!

I may try again next week to get my 5pm Yak & Yeti changed to a later time. I can live with 5pm but it is a little early for us. That is really the only one I had problems with. While I was speaking the the CM yesterday, their system did go down 3 times for about 5 minutes each time. The CM and I just kept chatting until it came back up. She told me that it had been doing that all day and was "crashed" for a long time yesterday morning. She said she thought it was because so many people were calling for ADRs since they were now able to book them again.

Anyone get any MK restaurant that week after 6pm?

I have the same problem a week earlier.... I was told March 29 for Crystal Palace and March 30 for Sci Fi Diner nothing later than 6pm .... I have called and spoken to 5 different CM's and they all say the same thing ... no ressies after 6pm .....I just don't get it ...Sunday is EMH's for MK and Monday is for HS ..so they are open late????

I'm not trying to get ADRs that week but how frustrating!

My theory is that one of the reasons they changed the booking window to 90 is because people who weren''t "plan ahead" kind of people got shafted and weren't able to make ADRs. Perhaps they are holding more tables and slowly releasing them so more people will have a shot at getting dining reservations. Of course, now they are shafting the early planners.

i couldnt get anything after 5:50 either. tried several times. even tried awhile back b/c wanted crt. nothing!
