Easter visit..

we are considering taking our next visit over Easter weekend next year. (Ugh.. too far away)

Due to my current job and grad school schedule, we have to look at holiday weekends. I really want to do a Halloween visit too, but getting the time off in sept/October may be impossible.

So tell me about Easter/springtime. Are most of the winter refurbishments done by April? Full show schedule? Anything special for Easter?

My experience has been that almost everything is up and running. Whenever I've gone during the spring, it's been extremely busy. I may just have bad timing, but it has been much busier than I have expected. That wouldn't stop me from going, though. You are active enough here to get a good idea of how to spend your time.

Easter Sunday itself has been light the past two years - like, we go over after church and can still get a ton done. I can’t speak to the rest of the weekend, and of course it could be different this year, but I actually think Easter is nicer than a lot of the peak Spring Break season.

Normally I’d expect them to avoid scheduled refurbs at that time of year, but with SW:GE, I wouldn’t be surprised if they have some stuff down.

We agree that Easter is a great time to visit. We will be there this year as our school break coincides again this year. Easter was at an odd time last year so our "April break" was over Dapper Days and was amazing, hot, but amazing.

For Holiday weekends we arrive at rope drop and crush the mornings before the crowds arrive. We eat a late breakfast or early lunch and watch the crowds fill in. A good plan and MaxPass make even crowded days manageable.

We’ve only ever gone during holidays - Christmas week and thanksgiving weekend so crowds don’t bother us!!
