Easter Sunday in Nassau

Hi all. We are arriving in Nassau on Easter Sunday with a guest ashore time of 0800. Is an 0830 church service too tight of a plan? We would either go to St. Francis Xavier Cathedral or Sacred Heart, which are both close to the cruise port, about a 5-6 minute drive per Google. Anyone been to either church and would recommend one over the other?

Also was looking at the DCL port adventure "Nassau Backstage Local Flavors" which starts at 1030. Thoughts on timing for this? I would imagine we would have to meet on the ship, which would probably be too close for comfort trying to get back.

DCL has had a priest for various cruises over Easter Sunday so Mass may be celebrated onboard. We did a B2B from Miami to San Juan and then out of San Juan over Easter and the priest was one of our dinner partners. He stated he was on Board DCL for numerous Easter cruises.

I have been onboard over a couple of Easters and a Christmas, and like the above poster said, there are religious services offered onboard if those would work for you

The most meaningful Easter Service I ever attended was a multi-faith sunrise service on the Disney Magic several years ago.

We have sailed a few times during Easter and there was a catholic priest onboard each time for a mass in the Walt Disney theatre. It was kinda fun spotting him around the ship playing bingo and by the pool. Our kids spring break was traditionally always the week after Easter so the second day of the cruise was Easter on a 7day sailing.

IF we were still active church-goers, DW and I would most definitely do a Shipboard Service.

I will be on the same cruise I think (the wish). We’ve done Merrytime & Halloween cruise in the past. What activities will the have for Easter ? Thanks so much!
