We have never had a problem taking our DS, almost 14, out of school for WDW. We had planed to stop in middle school but our school encourages travel and had no probelms with us going. The problem is that some chronic health issues has developed with DS and he has missed 15 days of school this year. We are trying to get this under control (He has trachemalacia from his prematurity that has just now become an issue), but so far it is still a major problem.I caauses a horrible spastic cough. Of course going during the school year as we always do is not doing to work unless things change. SO...for those of you that do not take your kids out of school, which of these is the least of the evils. I am hearing good things about Easter from another thread. We did July once and hated it. So... crowds and heat wise. Which do we pick??? I assume all three are peak season. We are used to Jan rates, temps and crowds so we are really spoiled.

Thanks for the help!!!!

Also any one have any info on trachemalacia? It seems to have come from premature birth or being on a vent a long time and pretty rare in the form DS has. Any input welcome.

Thoughts & prayers for your DS.
I have 3 that were premiees. Have not run into that issue yet. They are now 15. One has asthma. One is small.

Regarding your vacation question. I recently posted a similiar question. We live in MA. We have a February vacation. Is that a possiblity for you? My cousin goes a day or so after Christmas & comes home just after the new year, she allows her children to miss one day of school.
I sympathize. We always took our kids out in the fall & have had to adjust to a heavy school load this year. We leave in 3weeks. Heat, crowds & all.
Best of luck in all your journeys.

I personally would opt for early December if possible. Crowds are light and there doesn't seem to be all of the virus' going around that seem to run wild in the spring. Summer is just tooooo darn hot/humid for this heat weanie so that is a big NO IMHO!

I would go at Easter from those 3 choices. After swearing never to go then we went 2 yrs ago at Easter and had a very good trip, went on everything we wanted and only had 1 long line at snow white! We went early and or stayed very late. It is really neat to be in MK at midnight and going on BTMR. If you go early follow a plan and use fast pass it really easy to avoid long lines. The only thing is that there are always people so it is hard to find any empty space and you need to plan on eating at off times to avoid lines. With the longer hours and the fact that they are running all the cars or vehicles for a ride we had no problems, and rode all the biggies several times during the week.
