Just got my DVC vacation magic newsletter for Spring and there is a blurb in there about Easter events at the resorts....for the day of Easter I mean - and to ask what's going on at the desk upon check in. Has anyone been and can tell me what this could be? I have a DVC friend who had told me they stayed at BWV a few years back and they had an Easter egg hunt at the resort for the kids. Is that pretty standard?

We have stayed at BWV for the Easter Egg Hunt and it is a big deal on the lawn facing the boardwalk. They have the entire lawn filled with treats and seperate the kids by ages. There are cookies and punch served. They have some decorations up and do different activites for prizes.
We also did this one year at SSR. It also was a lot of fun. We have been at OKW but didn't get up early enough. People told us it was nice. They usually hand out bags for the treats to each kid. They get enough candy that you would think it was Halloween. Have fun, just get there in time to enjoy.

We've been at BW on Easter morning. As the previous poster said there is a great candy scramble on the green . . . the grass was literally covered with candy. THe girls got WAY more candy than the bunny delivers at home! The bakery provided cookies that kids (and adults) could decorate. Mr & Mrs. Easter Bunny made an appearance. We ended up spending the rest of the day by the pool. There was a party there all day . . . music, trivia games, kids games, etc. Prior to the candy scramble we walked over to Beach Club to see what was going on there . . . seemed they were setting up a similar candy scramble. We also saw lots of LIVE bunnies in and around the BWV/BCV area. My girls thought that was great. We're headed to SSR this Easter. I'm hoping we'll like it just as much for Easter fun!

We have been at both the Beach Club and the Wilderness Lodge on Easter and both had roped-off "candy scrambles" where there is so much candy on the ground that every child should get PLENTY!!! Mickey, Minnie, and the Easter Bunny were there as well...

Another nice thing at both resorts were the White Wicker Easter Baskets for sale in the gift shop. They were only $1.50 each. I bought Mickey shaped treats, mini Disney penlights and such to fill them with. Then the cashiers helped to put them in a plastic bag and tie a nice ribbon at the top. Wasn't too expensive and looked really nice!

:cutie:

One on our kids' fondest memories is the fantastic Easter egg hunt at Old Key West. We've done it at least 12 times. It's VERY well done.
