Easter crowds - need your experiences please :)

We will get there Thurs nite later evening - no park

We will be doing a 3 days Dis and a couple non-Dis activities during our stay. We will prob do 3 Disney days - just trying to decide what to expect crowd wise based on past experiences.

Are we better to avoid all parks on Easter Sunday or will the whole week-end prob be the same crowded mess? What about Good Friday - will that be any lesser evil?

I have been on Easter before. We stayed at the Disneyland hotel so we could make use of the extended hours. On Easter Sunday we went to a sunrise service near the parks and then straight to Disneyland. It became pretty crowded during the day. The next two days we did other things during the day and then when to the parks at night and stayed until they closed. When we went, if you stayed on Disney property, the parks were open until 3 AM. Non-disney hotel guests had to leave at 12 AM. This was three or four years ago. I'm not sure how late they have been staying open recently.
