morning everyone --- just a quick start to our weekly thread and then i'm off to reload my ipod and head out for a walk. this week is my BIG long walk for the 1/2 marathon training, which i plan to do on thursday. but for today a nice brisk 30 degrees 3 miler -- and by thursday i may be wearing shorts! welcome to ohio :rolleyes:

how's everyone doing in the drinking water area? i feel like i've slacked on this so that is my focus this week -- water water water and more water!!

anyone else have an area to concentrate one? we'll join you!

I haven't been around much lately, just popping in hear and there so I thought I would stop to say afternoon and check in. All is well here, still struggling with the last couple of ounces to goal (still .4 away now), but still determined to get there by Easter. I have to admit that I have slacked in the water department too, it is hard to drink the water when it is chilly outside.

Hoping everyone is having a great weekend!!! I'll check in again later in the week.
 
Hello, I'm in for an update, finally. I am proud to report that I have lost three more pounds. I think I have a total of 7/10!!! Just three more to go. I must admit I don't think I could have done it without you guys here at WISH. I'll definately be signing up for the next challenge.
 

Hello guys,

Just wanted to check in before work. Had a busy weekend, and ate waaay toooo much all weekend. I did a lot of shovelling and sledding, so hoping that will help by weighin on thurs. I did good early in the week eating and walking, and that is my goal this week- to walk at least 3 days after work. I need to pick up on the water drinking too. I drink a lot at work, but when I come home, I slack off.

Been MIA due to not eating 'healthy'. I am actually up 1lb.:( I am going to get refocused this week. I have got to find another way to deal with stress, other than food...that just stresses me more.
 
Had a great Spring Break... did 11 cardio and yoga classes in 6 days. :yay:

Down 5.2 this week... total 51.2/20.
 
Denecarter- You are doing awesome!!!!!! I want just a pinch of the motivation you have. You should be so proud!!!

:wave2: believe. I hear ya on the unhealthy eating. It's so hard to stay on track and not eat when things get stressful. Welcome back. You can do it!!!One pound is not too bad. Hopefully that will come off quickly when you get back on track.

Tiggerlover- Wow, only .4 to go!!!!! Hope you'll see that for a nice Easter celebration.

Molli-Awesome job on the walking, as always. The nice weather is definitely a motivater. I walked today and will tomorrow as well. It's chilly, but should warm up later in the week.

Monday was a bad eating day for me, but I'm ok today. I'm trying really hard to stay out of the kitchen for the rest of the night. I've found myself just eating junk, not hungry, not stressed, just eating. Maybe I'm bored. I think I'll try and do some scrapbooking tonight, to pass the time, and keep my hands away from the food. I've been averaging only 1 pound loss/month lately, which is depressing. I looked up my weights from last spring, and in May, (when I joined WISH) I picked up and lost 10 pounds from may through july. I need to do something, but I don't know what. But I won't give up. I'm going to get my bike cleaned up this spring, and try biking after work. I used to bike all the time before I had my son, and loved it. Maybe I could find that passion again. Oh, well. One day at a time. Today, no more eating!!!

Just returned from 2 weeks in Florida - eating out every day, snacking on yummy treats - but trying to exercise...well, I am down .8!!! For a big total of 15.2/20 - I am so happy!
 
morning ladies --- there has got to be something scientific about how we all hit a wall after "X" amount of weeks on a focused eating plan. maybe the trick is to realize it, plan for it, face it head on and overcome it?

anyhow -- today was my scheduled day for LW and i may have to postpone. but all is not lost, i have through the weekend to still be on track for my training schedule. it's raining now and thunderstorms are on the way, plus I have picked up a head cold that is leaving me feeling very tired. i took Nyquil and slept a good solid 8 hrs and woke up feeling tired! so i think it's a regular TM walk today, even a slower paced one to just check off a walk completed and i'll focus on my LW on sunday.

i have been struggling with the eating too -- eating junk when i was doing soooo good. thanks for the inspiration you all b/c i need it!

i apologize for being so MIA lately too -- we are cruising in 4 weeks and my mouse just keeps taking me to my cruise meet thread! i know you all understand! :teeth:
 
Hi everyone. Didnt post last week, I was so busy! I lost .5 last week and one this week. I am at -12/20
I doubt I will hit the 20 by Easter week, but I am trying. I do cakes and stuff as a side business from home and it is so hard lately with orders to NOT want to eat sweets. I am trying!! We will see what happens.
My biggest thing is the workouts...havent worked out since Feb!!:confused:
Need to get back into it.......

Had my weigh in tonight and I stayed exactly the same, so I am still .4 away from goal. Maybe next week will be my week!

shellynn24, great loss!! Keep up the great work.

believe, I hope your refocusing is going well this week, it is so hard to stay on track sometimes, but refocusing can really give a little kick start. Hang in there!

denecarter, all I can say is FABULOUS!!! You have put up some impressive numbers, what a motivator you are for one and all.

mikand Molli, {{{HUGS}}}, I know the struggles and I know how hard it is, keep persuing your dream, we can't give up as we try so hard, we can be successful. It may take us longer than others but if we stay committed we will succeed!!! Hang tough ladies!

I actually lost .4 this week, bringing me to 2.8/12. I'm right on track with my average of 1 pound loss per month!:rotfl: I was very surprised to actually see a loss, so I'm happy. I guess the walking has been helping, cuz I definitely took in way too many calories this week.

Congrats to all you losers, and good luck to all us strugglers. We definitely can get to our goals with determination and dedication!!
 
It probably would have been more but i ate cookies last night. And I don't care that i did. The past week has been good exercise wise and I've been sticking close to plan as possible. But basically it was a bad life last week and I'll finish my cookies(Vienna Fingers) happily and move on. But I'm well within shot of my goal and I'll get there. Hopefully my 3 day weekend from work will recharge me and get me feeling good again.

Congrats to all the losers and everyboody for working so hard. I say we all did a great job whether we reach our goals or not:hippie:
 
Hi! Congratulations everyone! You are all my inspiration for sure!

I'm very happy to say I lost 2lbs this week. So now I'm 2.6/12. You know, some of us may not reach our goal but we can be proud that we kept on working toward it! Life is all about working toward things. And if we stop doing that then what is the point?? Right?

Congratulations again to all and Good Luck in you healthy choices.
 
Hope everyone's having a healthy and happy weekend. It's been a quiet week here, but there are some nice losses!! I'm over my binging hump for 3 days in a row now!!!! That's big for me. I have walked 3 days a week, for 3 weeks in a row, and am feeling motivated to continue. We got my son's bike out (training wheeled) and this year he can actually pedal quite quicky and I had to jog to keep up with him, so I'm hoping to get some exercise with him every evening before dinner. I'm going to get my bike fixed up this week too, and my son has a playdate planned for friday afternoon, so if the weather is good, I'll get a long ride in. I'm definitely feeling a little spring fever, and hope the snow we're expecting tonight is gone quickly.

Hang in there everyone who's struggling. :grouphug: Determination will get us all there. :cheer2: Congratulations to all our losers!!!!!:cool1:
 
It does indeed sound like we have had some good loses here and yes, it is VERY inspiring!! We are starting another week and I hope everyone has a good one.
