Hi! We're planning our 4th trip to WDW during Easter this year. I was wondering from all of you who have been to WDW during Easter if the gift shops at the hotels usually have Easter Baskets already made up. We were at Disneyland two years ago at Easter and their special events staff did this for us. They had pre-made baskets for younger children and older children so my 8yr old and 11 yr. old had those baskets and they made up a basket for my 8 month old and put a sippy cup and t-shirt with some candy that she could enjoy. I have asked about this at WDW and was told to contact the Disney Florist. I looked on the web site and only saw 1 or 2 baskets that I didn't really like. I know that I could buy t-shirts or beach towels at the gift shop and make my own baskets, but it would be nice to pay for the baskets and have them delivered to our room. We are staying at the Yacht Club. Anyone been at Easter and found pre-made baskets in any of the stores or hotel gift shops?

While I can't answer your specific question, I can tell you that if you call the Disney Florist they may be able to make something more in line to what you were thinking. I know that on two different occasions they have done this for me - once at Christmas with character stockings, and once when I sent something to a friend's kids for their first visit. Neither of these times did I end up with anything close to what was showing on the website. I told them what I had in mind and they worked with me.

Just a thought...

I remember seeing Easter baskets in the past but we haven't been there at Easter time for several years. I hope someone else knows if they still have them.

Yes, we take the kids to WDW for Easter almost every year and I have seen pre-made baskets in the gift shops, however, you will pay top-dollar for them. The Easter Bunny magically packs the kids' gifts in my suitcase;) so I don't have to buy marshmellow peeps for $10:goodvibes

Good question!! I will be there over Easter as well, I will have to pick up something for my daughter.

:goodvibes

That is great to know! :thumbsup2 I saw their limited Easter stuff and wasn't interested. The Bambi one is cute, but it's so expensive and I"d need two.

I did hear the Mickey's Mercantile had baskets last year, but I don't know if they'd have stuff that my girls would even like. Plus, maybe they'd be sold out by the time we checked in....that would be horrid if I was counting on that!

Right now I have plans to just send a box down and pray the bunnies etc don't wind up a crumbled busted mess.:rotfl:

Hey Channing - Hope it works for you or that they have something super at the GF - maybe they'd stick some Basin stuff in there for ya! ENJOY your trip! I remember this time last year you were on your way to DL - LUCKY!

I was there over Easter and they definitly have baskets for sale. In fact at Pop they would custom prepare them for you with items from the gift shop.

Yes! We were there this past Easter at OKW! They have premade baskets and they have where you pick out what you want in it! They give you a shopping basket you put what you want in it then when you pay for it they will bag it seperately and write the childs name on it! They do a very nice job! But be sure to order when you get there they do get very busy with them and if your to late you will have to settle for what they have left! Some resorts wrap them there others send them to a specific resort to wrap and then back to your gift shop for you to pick up! We picked ours up late the night prior and hid them in our closet in our hallway until all were asleep! they were great If I can get my scanner working I will put the picks on! But I dont think I will be able to i have ben having techno difficulties with it! But if I do Ill post them here! Hope this helps! The avator Picture was a basket for my 1yr old Niece! It had 2 animals and baby juice and baby food and mickey head taffys and maybe one or two other things! this was the clearest one! We had 5 baskets ages ranging 1,8,12,13,17! The older kids got photo albums in thees with cotton candy and other goodies! The younger one besides the baby he got a Disney Bus and some disney vehicles and cotton candy and some other candies! But this is basically what it will look like with whatever you put in it!

We LOVE Easter in WDW :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

I would use Disney Florist.....

OR

What we did at the Dolphin - right next door to the Y/BC....
We brought our own Easter baskets - found them in Walmart - they were material with spings - so they could fold flat for packing. Another idea for a conatainer would be an Easter themed papaer gift bag with tissue paper.

Then we brought items our kids wanted - DS games, paper back books, Disney money and the Dolphin has a great candy shop in the main lobby. We add sweets from there to our kids Easter baskets.......
@ the Dolphin...Sugar3 - A candy store where cravings for sweets are satisfied in a fun, exciting and totally cool environment

The shops in the park will also make a basket for you with stuff that you pick. I contemplated it last year, but we were off site and there was a Walmart right near our house so I went there and got some stuff and put it together for DS. They do have a lot of cute stuff, which also made it's way to DS' basket. I liked the bunny and easter egg shaped rice krispy treats with the icing on them. They were so adorable and DELICIOUS! lol

Thanks guys! I think that I'll get some fabric baskets or gift bags and then buy the stuff when we get there. I was thinking t-shirts or beach towels and candy. Thanks for the great ideas!
