With Easter coming early this year I haven't even started my Easter shopping yet, and I need ideas for my DD5 Easter Basket! HELP! TIA!!!:goodvibes

Fancy Nancy books, barbie/princess dolls, jump rope, play doh set, new dvd movie, board game, dress up jewelry, hair accessories, flip flops, sunglasses, cute plate/bowl/cup set (disney store has super cute ones out), build a bear gift card.

Here's a few more - nail polish, clear flavored lip gloss or chapstick, cute socks in bright colors for spring and summer, stickers, a sun hat, doll clothes, Chuck E Cheese tokens, and new stuff for the pool - swimsuit, goggles, sunscreen, beach towel, and pool toys. Or how about a pretty flower pot, some flower seeds, and kid-size gardening tools? I also just came across the Rip Squeak books by Susan Yost-Filgate - gorgeous illustrations and cute stories. My DD is just a couple years older than yours and loves the Magic Tree House books and Junie B Jones - the paperback copies from these series make great Easter basket fillers.

got my 5yo a ds game, disney sand molds, puzzle, bug catcher, jump rope and things like that for outside.. oh an her favorite gs cookies, samoas.

I did a CP Penguin and Puffle w/ a special item coin for boys and Webkins for the girl, swimsuits and flip-flops, bubbles, mini clay pot with seeds (Target $1 bin), a couple Easter themed toys (they love wind-up toys) and the rest candy. I will probably pick up a book later this week and a gift card for oldest ds. Others years past I've done an outfit, sunglasasses, small Lego sets, water guns...

Thanks! :goodvibes Great ideas so far! This is a really big help, my mind was a blank before now! :worship:

My daughter's too young but for my 6yr old son, I found a huge tennis ball! in Walmart. It was funny and perfect because he has become fascinated with tennis. It's the size of a "kickball" but is lime green and has the tennis ball lines. They had other colors.

Sometimes the best ideas come from just wondering around the stores.

Here are some more ideas:

* flip flops
* swim goggles
* bubble bath
* sidewalk chalk/bubbles/jump rope
* necklace/bracelet/earrings -- also fit into eggs!!
* baseball cap/visor/bucket hat
* Jan Brett's Easter Egg book
* craft/jewelry making/coloring kit

Also, instead of a basket these work as well:

* backpack/messenger bag
* pail and shovel

read a great tip on these boards about wrapping up goodies in a big beach towel.

I think the Alvin and the Chipmunks Squeakquel will be in just about every Easter Basket!!

The new Princess and The Frog DVD.

Also, it may be too late to order one, but I got a Lubber tote for each of my daughters - these will be their Easter Baskets this year, and will work great for toting around their swimming stuff this summer.

My 5 year old will be getting an iPad in his basket. I'm not sure of the box dimensions yet until it arrives, so I bought several Easter baskets and will have to figure it all out the night before. Also several plastic eggs filled with Skittles. He loves those.

Target had webkinz for 4.99 if they have any left. Play dough. Little Pet shop. We try to stay away from to much candy.

I got DD5 so far Princess and the Frog DVD, Strawberry Shortcake Nail polish (Target after Christmas), a Littlest Pet Shop Game (Target after christmas), $3 Barbie doll. I have done sunglasses, hair things, DS games. I am also getting How to Train Your Dragon candy eggs for her and DS6 (only $1 a bag at Walmart). Other ideas would be littlest pet shops, shirt, sandals, underware, things she would need anyway, but make them from the bunny. I also think I am getting them both new toothbrushes! BTW no Alvin & the Chipmucks here lol.

Silly Bandz are popular around here. They are rubberband-like bracelets shaped like animals and other objects. I've gotten them in the $3-$5 range.

we got in our baskets zhu zhu pets, LPS, crayola sets, shirts, ds games, 2 dvd's each, selena gomez cd, $50 giftcard for each to disney, stitch race car, perry the platypus, lip gloss, a huge bouncy ball that they sit on (i cant rem the name of them) some hot wheels, and a barbie. oh a a little candy DD can't have sugar so baskets, stockings, etc only have 1 or 2 pieces and gum in them. this year baskets are lighter and smaller than in past.

She's probably a little too young to be in to all the stuff at Justice? I can't remember what age DD started loving that store. She's 9 now, and it's pretty much one-stop shopping for me now! I just went in there today and got a darling bathing suit, flip flops, a light up journal, nail polish, shower gel, after-shower spray and lotion in strawberries and cream flavor, a plush doorbell for her bedroom door, some hair ties, a necklace, birthstone earrings, and some fun candy like icee flavored gummies and pop rocks. I can't wait till Sunday!!!

Everything in the store was 40% off today, but I still wasn't planning on spending that much $. :sad2: Darn them and all their deliciously sparkly stuff, I always get carried away in there -- and I'm pushing 40! :laughing:

I always think spring when shopping for Easter basket fillers. Anything that gets the kiddos moving and outside now that the weather is nicer. Also great for restocking their outside toys. We are now stocked for bubbles and sidewalk chalk again ;)

My DD is 5 (will be 6 in 20 days :rotfl:) but she LOVES LOVES LOVES Justice. She hardly wears anything but clothes from there so i don't think 5 is too young.

wow. an Ipad? I wish THAT bunny would come to my house.

I went to the dollar store and got a couple do-dads and picked up some jelly beans and a bunny.. and of course some peeps! I plan to pick up The Princess and the Frog for the little one and New Moon for the big one.

5 year old little girls are so much fun to shop for!! It was hard just to pick a few things for my little one. She already has all the outide stuff, so I decided on a Fureal Friends Snuggimals kitty, a mosiac glitter craft set, iCarly stickers, Pez, Barbie magazine, a Lisa Frank stationary set (in a huge purple lipstick bank, so cute!) As well as the usual Easter treats, Peeps, jelly beans, a chocolate bunny, .. O and a Sea Monkeys kit I found at Walmart for $5 bucks.. How could I resist?
