Easter basket freebies

Walgreens will have 40th anniversary UNO card sets for 99cents tomorrow.

D's Easter basket always has a swimsuit in it, purchased on clearance the year before. It's usually around Easter that the weather starts warming up, so it works for us.

Great choice for topic. I will be following... I always end up spending too much for Easter basket stuff.

Target had these littlest pet shop and my little pony puzzles with toy on sale for $1.24. I also got one of the tiana color wonder books for .49, and I have sunglasses from gymboree for $1-2. I also have a Lego bunny that I got for $2 at the Lego store, and a 3-in-1 Lego car (small) that I got for $1 at kmart when they had that $5 coupon. That's probably almost enough for less than $10 for two baskets.

Target had some of those Mighty Beanz in their Christmas clearance section today. I think I spent 49 cents for a pack of three.

There is also plenty of time to buy candy after Valentines day being Easter is so late his year... April 24th!

I will probably fill my baskets with a new Disney movie (I too need to use my DMC lol) and I have a couple things that I stored away that was overflow from stocking stuffers :) I don't get much candy bc honestly my kids never eat it! I love the idea of fruit snacks (DD is constantly wanting those and yogurt so she will flip for those) and DS is a Doritos lover so maybe I will stick a small bag of those in his..I don't want to go overboard bc then they never use what they get! Thanks to OP about the target deals..definitely have to check there :)

Great ideas! Our Easter baskets will be stuffed with fruit, granola bars, fruit leathers, and items to take to Dis in September. Probably a mister fan or two... some Emergen-C packets.... hand sanitizer....

No candy for us.

don't forget rain ponchos from the dollar store :thumbsup2

At Toys R Us, the stocking stuffers are 75% off. I got a wooden train whistle for my DS and a package of "mermaid bracelets" (the plastic tube with liquid and glitter in them) for DD for 50 cents each.

I bought rubber stamps in the Michael's dollar spot today that are initials -- they are big. I bought them for some girls we know. $1 each.

I forgot to say -- also at Michael's today I saw their christmas stocking stuffers were on clearance. I got some pairs of CUTE shoelaces for 30 cents.

The ones I got were green and white polka dot (and a lighter shade if green) so It think they will be great for Easter.

Looking for good ideas. I have four kids, ages 16, 14, 10, and 10, and it gets more and more challenging to fill their baskets each year. (Even more difficult than stockings!)

We are taking a beach vacation in San Diego the first week of May, and since Easter is so late this year, I thought some items to take on vacation would be nice. Just not sure what.....or where to find them. So, I'll definitely be following along with this thread. :)
