Easter at WDW

We have already planned our family's first trip to WDW for this Easter at the ALLSTAR SPORTS.

Our two boys (5 & 7) are ssssoooo fired up about going.

How are the crowds at that time of the year ?

And how many of you on the DIS Boards are going to be there this Easter?

Easter week crowds are huge. Just be prepared you will have long lines and long fast pass times. I went this year Easter week and by 10am fast pass was closed for test track. If you get to the parks when they open and leave by lunch time go back to your resort, rest and have a swim, then go back to parks later it will be tolerable. Don't think you have to do everything leave something for your next trip. Also remember if there is any place you feel you definately want to eat you will need to make a PS. You should make sure you have a PS for Easter or you'll end up eating at the food court. We usually go off times so Easter was quite a shock to me, it may not be to you since this is your 1st trip. I'm sure your boys will have a great time even with the crowds!

We did this in 2002 and stayed away from MK because of record crowds. After doing this, we decided never to do this again! The crowds were huge and the waits were really long. We were fortunate to have PSs for just about every meal otherwise we would not have been able to eat anything without waiting for long periods of time -- not something you want to do with little ones!

One evening we were at MGM and had reservations for Crystal Palace. As we were leaving MGM, we were told that unless you are resort guests, you will not be allowed entrance into MK. Luckily we were guests so we were able to go to dinner! We did manage to have a great vacation but had to skip a lot of the things that we definitely wanted to do. We also took advantage of EE nights so that my DS didn't miss out on his favorite rides.

This year we are going in November. No matter how many people are there we will enjoy ourselves -- you should be able to do the same!

We went this past Easter and left the day before Easter. The Saturday we left we spent at MK. It was a little crowed(we go most of the time on off season) but I was pleasently surprised it wasn't that bad. Use FP as often as possible. And EE helped a great deal and MK. We had everything done in Fanastyland done in about an hour. Don't feel bad if you don't get everything done it give you a reason to come back!!
