Hi, we are traveling w/ 9 & 12yr. olds durring easter at Disney and was wondering what you all do for easter baskets there? and do the parks do anything for easter?

TY

The parks don't really do anything, but some of the resorts do. You can check on wdwinfo to see what they did last year. For example, at SSR, they had a candy toss for the kids at 9:00am followed by Easter crafts and games. Our kids got so much candy - and good candy at that! I heard that Mr. & Mrs. Easter Bunny were outside the MK on Sat & Sun, but we didn't get there to see them. As far as Easter baskets go, we didn't do anything at Disney, but had their baskets waiting for them when we got home. I've seen baskets already made for sale at the resorts and DD and I'm sure you could bring stuff with you to make them up there if you wanted. Although it was really crowded over Easter - we had a great time - weather was perfect and everyone really enjoyed being there. Have a wonderful trip!

We were at POR last year, and the shop there made Easter Baskets. You just bought what you wanted in the basket, and the basket itself, and they made it for you. I did this last year for my girls. The resorts have different activities, but we were at the parks. The Easter Bunny was at MK, as well.

This is where we will be. What do you mean they did the basket for you? Is there a cost involved? We planned to bring plastic eggs filled with tootsie rolls and m&ms and fill the basket with an arcade card, PJ's and a certificate for the Wonderland Tea Party. All things easy to bring with us.

We have done Easter for the last 4 yrs with our DD (now 9). In the past the only Easter activities we have seen at the parks have been at Epcot. They have an egg hunt that you have to sign up for. We have also gone to an Alice and Mad Hatter Tea Party that was in World Showcase by Canada (near where Off Kilter performs). In both cases we had to go to the location and sign up in advance. Then come back when it was our time/reservation. Also, there were Easter sunday services at the Contemporary resort ballroom.

My only other advice is that it is very crowded this week. Just keep this in mind and try your best to roll with it in order to have a great time. Have a great trip and try to counter-program when possible.:cool1:
