Easter 05 Am I Crazy, Strageties/Help Please

Ok, It is my boys birthday, and I promised them if Easter ever fell near their birthday we would go. So '05's the year. We will probably be there Thursday before until Tues(poss Thurs) after. Do I have any hope because the spring break is not attached to it, that it might be a little better, or should I just give up hope now? My second option is going Fri/Sat/Sun and saving 4 days for a mid week trip in Feb or April school breaks. (I will be starting as a teacher this year, so I am limited to school breaks)

Who else is going to be brave with me?

I too am a teacher and we braved Easter 04 and had A BLAST!!!!

Stay on site if you can! Get up early, leave parks for lunch, a swim and a rest around noon and spend your evenings at EPCOT!!!
oh ,yes... Take advantage of fast pass...


It can be done and you can have a wonderful time.. We didn't wait any longer than 15 - 20 minutes on any ride!!!!

We too did our first easter trip this year. My ds didnt want to get up for ee so they suffered. But definetely stay on site, do ee. Take a break when it gets too crowded and make sure you make priority seatings for any place you want. I knew we were having 1 good meal at least once a day. We spent easter day at epcot after having a character breakfast. It was so quiet there. We did mk before the week got crowded. We spent the least amount of time there I think. We stayed 8 days and hit all parks, water parks and downtown. The parks are open early and stay open late. There are two fantasmics too so that helps. Plan well and use fastpass.

Thats a good question will it be as crowded since Easter is at the end of March?

We braved WDW at Easter this year (Thursday - Saturday before)... it was NUTS! But I would much rather deal with that, than the Christmas crowds! We just hit the EE park first thing, rode ALL the rides we wanted and then got out of there... spent the afternoon swimming.

Of course, we're going back next year!

I am a teacher, too, and have done Easter the last 3 years and it is crowded, but doable with a plan. MK was GRIDLOCK during the daytime but thined out later in the evening.

We spent this past Easter Sunday at Boma's for breakfast, went to visit a local friend's apartment and then headed to EPCOT for the rest of the day.

I do remember it was on the COOL side this year and when we went in March of 02 it was HOT. So weather can be variable.

We are heading down again at Easter 05!

Pinnie, and everyone else, I neglected to mention that we will stay at SSR (dvc owners too). I am so thankful to hear so many people being positive...we are not always EE people, but we are 10pm rides people, so perhaps this will work to our advantage in some way(no comando). Luvmarypoppins, thanks for the heads up on the PS, I will make sure that is done. I already have HDDR booked, and want to book CM too. Also waiting for the 05 schedule to poss. schedule something special of Easter morning. I noticed that many of the Deluxes/DVC have Easter events (according to the 04 schedule), so I hope that SSR will be included next year. And Candleonwater I think we are going the same day...that's exciting

Being a DVC member sure does take the pressure OFF to go commando in the parks, doesn't it? We now travel down about 5 times a year!

We look at our Easter trip as a relaxing way to stay at our "home", the BCVs, use SAB and just veg.

We are going to SSR in 2 weeks. But this trip is going to revolve around a Drum Corp show at the Citrus Bowl. We have made no plans for park time, other than one night at MGM for Fantasmic on our arrival day.

Got to love those APs and DVC points!
