Eastbound Panama Canal: how are dates determined?

Sometimes the EBPC is in August, but I've seen it in October as well. What determines the return to the east coast? Is it whether or not they add the Hawaiian itineraries?...

It's usually the later dates, in October. This year's dates were pushed up because the Wonder is going in for dry dock.
