East or West... And Why??

Do you prefer the Eastern cruise? Or the Western cruise? Why do you like that one best? I always thought I'd prefer the Western, but decided on the Eastern because it was the week before Christmas. Now that I'm booked on the Eastern, I hope that I'll like it a lot. I'm thinking that I'll prefer it, since there aren't as many stops.

What about you?

We've been on both....and both are great. Depending on your interests. one itinerary may be a little more suitable than the other...my DW and I like to shop, and we felt the best shopping port, east or West, was Coz....but, if you like beaches , watersports etc, I think the eastern is better...

BTW, December is a great month to cruise!!!

I noticed that it takes a few more DVC points to do the Western, but I don't know if that was based on popularity or the newness, or both.

Why do you say that? What makes it a good month? I know that last April, our weather could not have been more perfect. One of my concerns is whether or not the weather will be good.

We have done both itineraries twice and would do either one again. I think I like Eastern a bit better because of the extra relaxing sea day. We are sailing again on the Eastern on 5/17

December is great because of the festive atmosphere onboard the ship. It is decorated beautifully for the holidays, with a huge Chrismas tree in the atrium. Also, they have special programs, like Mrs Claus reading to the children in front of the tree, as well as a tree lighting ceremony. In addition, the weather is cooler, not oppressively hot like some of the other months.

We had a great time on our December cruise!!!!
