you know Aengus I would think the same as you- toucan is better than 3 of 5- but I guess since I was playing then and got that pin in multiple host events that month- as well as the participation prize for the everest ride competition- I figured they were pretty much dime a dozen lol-

I know to get toucan I had to do some trading- last week I wanted an extra lion- took more than a year to get that for my husband-

most of the pirates were just out...

While toucan may have been available in a previous trade event, I feel that the quantities given out are still considered lower than that of the paw print.

being totally honest, I never considered them very hard to find. Not something I am looking for often tho so you could very well be right.

Just interesting to learn. I have never heard that it was a teleporter prize, just knew it was the Everest host pin.

ETA: For math purposes.... I started at 124. Got pin around 10:35am (real time, not DIS time....). Almost a trade a minute to the dot. Rock on Fin!

My poor friend, who jumped in the queue five spots ahead of me, accidently hit the restart button with only a few minutes left on the clock. So close yet so arggggh.

yeah this was when the 50 queue was implemented, so besides the trading events (much easier obviously because of the 50 queue) there were teleporter games and spin games besides the more difficult chair racing games.

This is why the grand cali was so desired, it was the month before and it was only through games with much worse odds.
