19th October
Another lie in (I think being away for so long on a not so chilled holiday was catching up with us!) then we headed to Epcot at 11. First stop was Soarin FPs then we walked to the World Showcase, starting from the right hand side. We watched the O Canada movie (hadnt seen the new one yet and thought it was a definite improvement!) then checked in for our 1pm ADR at Le Cellier. I was glad Id chosen lunch as, although it was busy, it didnt feel overly so as Ive heard it can at dinner. There were actually two off duty cast members dining near us including one who actually works at the restaurant which we thought was a good sign and Im happy to say we werent disappointed. The food was incredible (cheese soup, mushroom filet mignon with asparagus and crème brulee for me and mushrooms, gnocchi with cream cheese mashed potato and the chocolate moose for Steve) and the service was excellent, attentive without being overly so. We both enjoyed the famed pretzel bread and can definitely see why this place has the reputation it does. I think it was around $40 in extras/tip and we didnt begrudge a penny, definitely one we will return to if we can get an ADR! After lunch we slowly (not much choice really, we were stuffed to the gills!) made our way round the rest of the WS, enjoying the walk and the lovely hot (but not humid) day.
Amazing!
Once we were back in Future World we headed out of the park for a break at CSR, neither of us wanted to try going on any rides quite yet! We did some packing (leaving tomorrow, boo!) then returned to Epcot at 6:45 and went on Mission Space then used our Soarin FPs before getting a spot for Illuminations behind the red torii in Japan. It was really quiet in the park that night and once again Steve set up his tripod and got some great photos.
After Illuminations we wandered out of the park and were out by 9:30 then it was back to CSR and more packing before bed at 11.
