We are staying in a pool home in Windsor Palms for the first time from 7/26-8/2. We usually stay on site so this is our first experience navigating around outside the World!

For those of you familiar with the area, which is the best route to travel to and from the parks?

Any help/advice/info is greatly appreciated!:thanks:

There is a great shortcut to avoid the main entrance to WDW that is easily accessed from Old Lake Wilson Rd...where Windsor Palms is situated. If you go to the top of Old Lake Wilson (route 545) there is a road almost opposite you called Sherberth Rd. If you follow this road it brings you out right next to AK. From here you can easily get onto the main routes round the WDW complex.

HTH! :thumbsup2

Forgot to mention : Funnie Steed Road is a sand/dirt road (at least the last time I drove it it was). It can get a little bumpy. Just be careful if it is wet!

If you want to avoid the dirt road, go straight on to the 192. Turn right onto the 192 and get into the LH/center lane as quickly as possible. Take the next left at the lights to get onto Sherbeth Road
