Easiest route from BLT/Contemporary to World Showcase?

We are staying at BLT and will want to go over to the World Showcase. We have a few people in our party who I want to minimize the walking (I know no matter what there will still be a lot) for. Is there any better way to get form our resort to the World Showcase that might be less walking than taking the monorail to the front entrance?

If you have a car: drive to the Boardwalk or Beach Club and valet park ($12), then walk to the International Gateway, which allows you to enter Epcot on the World Showcase side between the UK and France.

If you don't have a car but are willing to take a cab: take a cab to accomplish the suggestion above.

Using Disney transportation: walk to the MK bus stop and wait for the bus to the Yacht/Beach, Boardwalk, and/or Swan/dolphin. Get on whichever one comes first. (it might be a combined route for all these resorts) When bus arrives, get off bus and walk to the International Gateway.

Any of these will be less walking than taking the monorail, but not that much less. The first two are the quicker options. The last is the cheapest, of course.

Going to WS via BC is a good idea only if you are going to UK/Canada/France/Morocco/Japan (and maybe the US) side of the WS. If you are planning to go to Mexico, Norway or China (and probably Germany or Italy too) , you really are no better off entering from the IG than you are from the main gate. Getting to the main gate of Epcot from the CR on Disney transport involves taking the monorail from the CR to the TTC, then changing to the Epcot monorail there.

Honestly, I'm not sure that this is going to save much walking vs. just entering through the main gate, if any at all.

If there is any difference in distance between the bus stop at the YC/BC and the international gateway, and the monorail stop and World Showcase, it's negligible in my opinion. I've stayed at both the YC and CR, and I didn't notice a difference between these two methods of getting to World Showcase.

I would just hop on the monorail and go through the front gate. You'll save yourself the hassle of having to get to another resort.

Also, World Showcase is an awfully big place. People who plan to visit it need to plan on doing a lot of walking anyway just to get around the whole thing.
