Easier to make reservations close to trip dates

This is the 3rd year that I have booked dining for a February trip at the end of December. I have always been happy with what I could get, as some of the more popular choices would already be booked. It seems that the new CC policy is having a positive impact on freeing up reservations. I have found wide open days and times for every restaurant I am interested in! Maybe I am just lucky or looking at less than 1st choices for most (we are not interested in CRT for example), but this is great!
