Just an FYI, the people here that have been with DVC for a while might know this, but...I called member services this afternoon to book for the Boardwalk for April 25-30th (yes I know only 5 nights)...BUT! They were awesome, very easy and super nice to deal with....I was able to get 2 studios for that time frame, no problems. My guess is because the 7 month window hasn't opend yet...The woman I spoke with was awesome. I mean my deed hasn't even been sent to me and netiher have my permanent cards...NO problems at all, just needed my social security number!

She was so nice...she said..okay, you will have 50 points left would you like to come down this fall??? Well of course I would, but dh has no more time off....now to book airfare...probably PanAm out of Portsmouth NH, as they changed their times and we will get there earlier and come home later..I am a bit excited...can you tell?:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc
Now to figure out where to eat and which PS's I want..def. Crystal palace again!

I just called today (Thurs) for a 1 nighter in a studio at BWV for this weekend (Sat)..........and I got it! Piece of cake!

Living 25 minutes from WDW has it's advantages, my family LOVES these one nighters.

Doesn't get any cooler than that! :)
 
Dolores....glad to hear that your first MS experience was such a nice one.

I've never had a problem with a call to MS. I can sometimes tell when they're swamped (gee, did that 20 minute wait tip me off?:p )....and I cut the chit chat and just handle the business. Other times, they seem a little more relaxed and I'll be sure to thank them for making things so easy.

Enjoy your trip. You have many, many more calls to MS in your future! :)
 
Our purchase will probably close next week YAY!

We're looking to go to HHI next June for DW's 40th birthday, but I thought that we should also utilize our BWV home resort advantage as an alternate plan.

So yesterday I reserved a 2BR and Studio, both standard views, for 4 nights. Piece of cake, very easy and the guide gave me her opinion of how to do the switch to HHI at 7 months in November.

When I got off the phone and later in the day, I realized that I had only requested non-smoking. So I called back on the way home from work and before I was connected, an announcement came up that I was selected to do a short survey on MS phone service after my call. When I was connected the guy was very cooperative in adding my two other simple/standard requests,
Non handicapped and close to elevators.

Survey after the call was pretty simple. Asked about friendliness, timeliness, and if I was satisfied. Usual survey stuff. One question at the end asked if I preferred making reservations via phone, fax, or email. Since this was my first time, I said phone. It went well and would expect that most people prefer this method.
