Hi Guys!

We are adding a IOA/US day to our Disney trip next Feb....tues the 12th is the day we think we will go.
It should not be too busy, I hope.

Here is the deal, we are traveling with my parents who have never been to either IOA/US, we have been to just IOA.

We are wanting to see the highlights of both parks with more time in US.

The only 2 that are a must in IOA are- Spidey and JP.

ANYWAY, I am trying to make a list of what we MUST see in US.

So far this is what I have:
Mummy-
MIB-
ET-
Shrek-
Jaws-

Now: If we only have time to see one of either Earthquake or Twister, which should we do?

Also: Do you think we will have time to see the attractions I listed above in only one day?

Thanks!

I would say Twister mainly because of the LONG pre-show at Earthquake. The end part of Earthquake is really cool but the first two parts are too long. Twister has loud noises and some water but it's fun. I'm sure other will disagree but I would go with Twister. :thumbsup2

they are both special FX shows, I like earthquake a little better, but as a previous post stated the preshow is longer. Also don't discount the Terminator 3D show or the jimmy neutron ride:thumbsup2 (it is one of our favorites). that time of year and day of week you should be able to hit everything in a solid long day. Enjoy

I prefer twister, but if your parents have never been there they might get some laughs at Earthquake in the preshow audience participation segment.

Thanks for the replies...would love to hear more opinions!

Also, What do you guys think about which park first? Should we go to IOA and get spidey and JP done, then the rest of the day at US. Or go to US first? OR Am I over thinking the whole thing, being we are going in Feb? ;)

As an above poster mentioned, I would do Jimmy Neutron...I know it seems silly, but it really IS a good ride! If I had to choose Earthquake or Twister, I'd choose Earthquake. Yes, it does have a longer preshow, but in the second part of that preshow, you can sit (then onto the ride part of the attraction). In Twister, you stand for the beginning, move along to the next area of the preshow and stand some more. Twister is not a "ride", it is a "show"...which you stand for. I have a hard time standing (still) that long. I like Earthquake that shows you about "making really large things..small" (as in models) for the movies. I like the various movie clips and the little "skit" is always funny. The ride at the end is much better than Twister's show...imho.
Just my

Hmmm... hard to say, they are both great.

I'd probably say Twister because, as people have said here, it has a short preshow and more meat once you actually get in.
Earthquake has this big 10 minute thing in front of it. Once you get on and start shakin' it's good... but the shakin' only lasts a minute or two.

Basically, what I'm saying is that the RIDE part of Earthquake should be longer then the preshow.

Tuesday, in Feb. Dont worry, get there early, and you'll see everything. Just do everything in order.

I hope so! I would love to see it all! Any particular order the best?

Make a huge circle. Start with Shrek and Jimmy, then follow the path to twister, then mummy, then on to earthquake and jaws, then MIB....skip to ET...if you want to play and watch the animal actors show, Barney and Curious George you may miss out on Horror Make Up and terminator. I really think you'll be able to get it all done though and have plenty of time to catch the smaller stuff.

I'd skip Twister & Earthquake and see Terminator instead! If time allows, check out the Horror Make Up Show, it's an overlooked little gem!

I would vote for Twister as well, its a little newer and I always just thought that was a pretty cool show, but they are fairly equal IMO.

You may want to add Hulk to the must do list at IOA, its a great coaster. But Spidey and JP are at the top of my must do list as well.

Just returned yesterday.....My kids who are 7 & 8 said that Earthquake was better......but there favorite along with my husbands was Terminator. Then I think that that all liked Jimmy .......we rode it twice and walked right on.......Just so you know with August being a busy month we got there about 4pm on Thursday and rode...........Jimmy, Shrek, Twister, Earthquake, Jaws, MIB, ET and Terminator in less than 4 hours......Have fun

Thanks for all the tips! Keep em coming!

Sounds like we may be able to see most all of it!
