Does anyone have a pair of these?

I had a pair way back when they first came out (in the 70's)...and I liked them. But I was younger then, and didn't have a bad back, and they didn't cost $100!

So, I'm thinking of ordering some, but just wondered if anyone has them? And what do you think?

I don't have any now, but I did then and I had wallabee's too. I see they are around again as well.

I had to look up wallabees!! I hadn't heard of those before, but I did recognize them!

What's a wallabee?
:confused3

 Funny you posted this - I JUST received my order from Zappos via UPS of a pair of women's 8.5 "Energizer" Earth shoes (white/blue -look like athletic shoes) :goodvibes (edited to add - I usually wear size 8, but read that you should order 1/2 size larger, and I agree - these fit great!)

I had developed really bad heel pain, and had read that the negative heel of the Earth shoes would help so I tried a pair. So far (just walking around the house) they seem really comfortable! A little weird feeling at first with the heel lower, but I got used to that really fast....well, I did notice it felt a little different when I walked up the stairs though! They also seem to align you with better posture as I notice I tend to suck in my stomach (good thing!) or am standing "straighter" or something!

zappos was a little more expensive than some places on the 'net, but they had free 2 day UPS shipping and also have free return shipping so I went with them.

Hope I like them as much as I think I will! :woohoo:

Funny you should mention these. I just ordered a pair of the blue & white sneaker-looking ones.

Okay Disney Doll and seahunt!!! You'll have to remember to come back here in a couple of weeks and let me know how you like them!!! :teeth:

My mom bought some at walmart for $20 about 2 yrs ago....she loved them

My mom bought some there too...and mentioned them to me awhile ago. That's kind of what started me looking for them. But our Walmart doesn't have them (not sure they carry them anymore) so I found them online.

I had these when I was younger too and loved them. I have 4 pairs now :) was thrilled when I found the 'real' Earth shoes a couple of years ago.
I LOVE them, but I don't like heels at all. So they work really well for me.

I bought a pair from Zappos too. I have bought some off EBAY as well. I suggest you get a pair from somewhere that you can return them if they do not fit. That way you can see if they fit and send back if they do not. I bought my regular size and they fit perfectly. I love them.

Walmart does not have the 'real' EARTH shoes (negative heel earth shoes). They have a brand that are called Earth shoes, but these are not the same.
Just so you know it is not the same as the negative heel ones.

20 bucks is too good to be true isn't it? LOL.
If you search ebay for earth shoes you will come up with some of that walmart brand, so be careful (voice of experience here.....).

I had a pair in high school in the 70's. Took them on our class trip to DC. They were great shoes!

They were expensive in 1970s prices, too. I had two pairs -- basic lace-ups and really cute dressier ones with a heel strap. My DH still has one of the Earth Shoe bags -- wish I had kept mine.

As I remember, they were really comfortable once you got used to wearing them, but it took a little while.

I didn't have any Wallabees, but who else lived in their Dr. Scholl's -- another shoe that wasn't comfortable at the beginning?

I had a pair of these also! I also remember Thom McCann Jox being really popular also.

Ok, I just looked up earth shoes and I noticed they have a sneaker. Are they really worth the $$? How do they compare with a normal sneaker?
