Earplugs for kids ?

My youngest, who's 3, may be frightened by some of the loud noises (shows, fireworks, rides) on our upcoming trip. I have seen some people mention earplugs in previous posts. Do they make special ones for children? When I checked the pharmacy section of our grocery store they had several different brands but seemed like they were all for adults. Does anyone have any recommendations?

You might ask the pharmacist if he/she can special order you child sized ear plugs. My husband is a pharmacist and is able to order many items that are not typically stocked due to the fact that they are not in huge demand and would thus sit on the shelf for ages.
Also, you might try a sporting goods store, such as Cabela's or Galyan's. They would probably have something like this. Check Cabela's website:

After my daughter had tubes put in her ears she had to wear ear plugs when swimming or in the tub and the ones that was recommended were like a piece of soft candle wax that pieces could be broke off, rolled into a ball and it molds to the ear. It stays in very good is comfortable because it molds to each person. When your done you just throw that piece in the trash. It is very inexpensive.

The BEST earplugs I have found are attached to a "headband." These are the ONLY ones I can find that will stay in my 10yo's "baby" sized ears. Take a look at your hardware store or farm supply.

I thought about take my DD to an audiologist for custom ear plugs. Her tiny ears are very sensitive to sound. After her earing test came back "get checked by DR" when she was in Kindergarten, I found out her hearing is very sensitive (the doctor said her hear was better then the both of us put together), so much for school checks.
