Does anyone know if you can purchase Earplanes in Canada? If so where?

Thanks,
Sandra

Earplanes are little earplugs that you put in your ear during a flight and they help ease the discomfort of ear pressure. They make them for adults and kids - one time use. I saw a lady using them on her little girl last November on our flight back from Orlando to Flint, MI and they really helped her. They are available online and at drugstores, etc. in the USA. I was hoping we could buy them in Canada. We are heading to California in September and thought I would give them a try for myself and then try them on my niece when we take her to WDW in December.

If not available in Canada I will need to make a trip to Port Huron, MI and see if I can get them at Target or Wal-Mart.

When wenabre gets back from WDW next week, pm her and ask her about them. We went to WDW last December together and she uses them...She says they work.

My daughter who suffers terrible ear pain on airplanes used them in February for her trip to Disneyworld and will NEVER fly without them again.

Bought mine at my local drugstore but also saw them at walmart where you get the sea bands and ordinary ear plugs.

I have to admit, they did not do much for me. My ears blocked and they hurt alot on our way there. Strangely, I felt no pain on the way back, but they still blocked.

I am still taking them on my trip in July, I hope my ears won't hurt. That pain is absolutely dreadful.

Shopper's Drug Mart carries the Earplanes. I bought my daughter's at Superstore here (not sure if you have Superstore in Ont. - possibly Loblaws?). I asked the pharmacist and he brought them in for me. My daughter said they helped her - she took them out once we were airborne so she could have her headphones on.

Saw them at two different Walmarts (both in east TO), but just the adult size. Ask at the pharmacy if they have them in and also about children's size.

Do these really work well? DW often has problems with taking off and landing and if these would help, I'd love to pick some up for her.

We got ours there with the other ear plugs. It is easier to ask than try and find them on your own unless you know the pharmacy really well.

Any pharmacy in Canada - if they don't already carry EarPlanes - would be able to order them in for you:)

If you have ear pain, or think that you might during a flight, about 30 minutes before take off, take a decongestant. Readminister if your travel times are long - according to package directions. (I like Advil Cold and Sinus;))

ALWAYS check with your doctor before taking any medications.

HTH!!

:cool1: :cool1: I used the ear planes in March and, quite frankly, they didn't help at all. I find that if you ask the flight attendant to put warmed up facecloths in a plastic cup and then you put the cup to your ears the pain disappears. I only get pain for the last twenty minutes or so before we land but it is excrutiating for 48 hours afterwards. Nobody else in the family suffers so it is just me. I have tried the decongestants and they don't seem to help either. :cool1: :cool1:

Walmart in Ottawa carries the child and adult sizes, I just bough 2 sets this afternoon. They were about $5 for each set.

Pharma Plus, Sobeys, Shoppers and most independent pharmacies carry them. They come in two sizes, which are Adult Earplanes, and Children Ear Planes. If your local pharmacy does not carry, it can be ordered from their wholesaler for generally next day delivery.
