You get paid for inputting VERY simple data that they find is easier for people to recognize than computers. It's only a couple cents per input, but each only takes a couple seconds.

I did 400 this afternoon in about an hour of pecking away and watching TV, LOL.

I am so STUPID! I didn't realize that Amazon LISTS the name and all you have to do is confirm the artist. Oh jeez...LOL!!! I'll probably have some of my HITS rejected now.

And if they have to accept it--who's checking for accuracy?

There's a place to click on "Your Account" and there it gives you the option of transferring to a bank account or Amazon gift cetificate account.

As for who is checking, this isn't necessarily Amazon that's asking for the info . . . it's different people/companies that are paying Amazon to do the legwork of looking it up. According to the info on the introduction page, it says "You are paid when your answer is approved by the person that listed the HIT."

Thanks! I did 41 in about half an hour. Could have done more but it seems like every other one I clicked one was already assigned to some one else. Its fun. I'm going to wait to see if mine are accepted before I do any more.

How long does it take to see if they've been accepted/how long til you see the $$ in your amazon acct?

How quickly do they let you know if they've been accepted? I did 125. I would often highlight the title of the album and then cut/paste it into google to find the artist though this didn't always work... I had a lot that had been assigned to other people too. Oh well, gives me something else to do on the computer when I'm home and not working. Lets me make more money for my disney account!

Anyone know of anything else like this out there?

From what I've read on the other board, they've been getting the HITS accepted or rejected within a few hours and yesterday was the exception - no one was really seeing much. I have noticed that this morning they're starting to get to mine from yesterday. JUST starting - they've accepted 15 so far, rejected 2 . . . out of 400, LOL.

And last night I noticed that they were running low on HITS (I think someone on another board said that sometime overnight they start adding more) I was having trouble last night finding some that weren't already assigned, but all day yesterday I had no trouble running through with only the occasional one that was already assigned.

That's what it did for me yesterday when I started. This morning, my balance in MY ACCOUNT matched my balance in STATUS. I'm still waiting for loads to be accepted/rejected, though.

I don't think there are enough hits. Amazon used to have like 100,000 of the music ones avaiable but I guess they're all out. Smart company! Get bored people to do your work and pay them 2 cents a pop.
