Early ticket use

Hey everyone, I have a question for you. I apologize in advance as I am sure this has been asked numerous times already... I am staying at Pop in December. I had to make two reservations to qualify for free dining. We are checking in on the 14th with a one night room only res, then checking out and back in to Pop on the fifteenth for the rest of our stay, 15th through the 20th. We have 7 day tickets connected to our second package. The cm told me that I would not be able to use my tickets until the 15th. Can I use my tickets starting the 14th? And how do I? We will not arrive until about lunch and want to get as much park time as we can. Thanks for your help!

You absolutely CAN pick up your WDW resort package tickets early.
They can be picked up and used up to TEN DAYS in advance of your package check-in date.

Just take your package confirmation number and a legal ID to any Guest Relations outside any park, or at TTC, or at either of the two locations in DTD.

I did read another poster complaining on another thread though that you will not be able to book fast passes for any days prior to the package as the tickets are linked to that package/reservation only. So based on what they said (I'm assume this is true) you wouldn't be able to book fast passes for dec 14 until you actually activate the tickets at guest services
