Early Spring Chicago DIS meet feeler

Time to start talking again.

I have heard two good possible days are either of the first two Saturdays in April, the 5th or 12th. Any thoughts? Time to plan the next Chicago area meet.

Days, times, places??? Let's discuss.

Possibly can make the 5th but highly doubtful - Scrapbook convention in Rosemont is here that day and I WANT to go.

April 12 is out unless is late in the afternoon - Girl Scout Annual meeting that day that takes precedence even over Market Day (which poor dh is going to be stuck running!!!!)

So if we can't make this one (well dh might be able to make the 5th) then we'll see you guys sometime this summer or early fall!

I think we're pretty much open in April. It would be nice having it further north, say, up by the Gurnee Mall?

I'm game for either Saturday in April. I'm unavailable for the last two Saturdays in April because of Easter on April 20th and Orthodox Easter (which my family celebrates) on the 27th.

Maybe we should consider March 29th also. It's almost April!

Now March 29th and 30th we could do (well dd and I). We are staying that weekeng in Palatine (room dh won at an auction or something), we are seeing a performance of the Little Mermaid at the Theater for Young Audiences in Lincolnshire at the Marriott Theater (for anyone that is ever looking for something that the kids might enjoy they do several performance throughout the year and they are great!!! - last year we saw Charlotte's Web. It's a theater in the round setting and the performers are local performers who some of them have even gone to productions in Chicago or farther. DH and I have also attended "adult" performances that older kids would enjoy that have been great - playing now is Cats) and then we were going to go play at Gurnee Mills but could change that to Sat instead!!!

As of right now it looks like any of those dates would work for me. Not sure if I will make this one or not though (just a busy year so far) but I will keep watching. Maybe I can get lucky and snag a good flight there instead of having to drive

I would be interested in an April meet. The first two weekends are good for us, later we have birthdays and Easter. I second the idea of having something up north this time. I really don't like being that far away from DD - call me a crazy mama, but oh well!

Looks like March 29th is getting favored here, any consensus!! As far as I know, it is fine for us also.

With so many trips planned this spring DH and I will have to think about this. Also if our tax refund is very nice it may make the decision easier .

Well, Dan - since I LOVE making hotel reservations,I already jumped the gun and made one for myself for March 29th at the Comfort Inn by Gurnee Mills!!!

Hey Nancy...is that the Comfort Inn and Suites???? If so....DON'T BURN THE POPCORN IN THE MICROWAVE IN YOUR ROOM!!!!! They do NOT like that!!!!
