I am staying at the YC in Mid Oct. I like to wake up early and run/walk around. Is there a path around any of the resorts that I shouldn't miss? What are the best places for breakfast snacks and coffee/tea around the Boardwalk area.
TIA

That's a wonderful area to be in the early morning! There is a path that leads around Crescent Lake so you can walk by all the resorts. You can also wlak down to MGM. There are signs so you can't miss it. At that time of year the sun rises fairly late so you'll be able to see sunrise, which is wonderful while looking toward Spaceship Earth.

I recommend the Boardwalk Bakery for morning goodies!

You can run from the Disney Studios boat dock over to Epcot International Gateway. You can also run around the outside of the hotels there and stay on a sidewalk for safety.

I liked walking around the loop from the Swan to the Boardwalk, YC/BC, and back to the Dolphin. It was very pleasant. Tubbi's in the Dolphin is open 24 hours, so you can stop to get some Starbucks coffee and a pastry. I remember one day the Boardwalk Bakery was still closed during my walk. I think they open at 6 a.m.

I'am an early riser too. I walk every morning when we stay at YC/BC. I take the path to MGM and then to the Boardwalk. I like to walk around the Swan , Dolphin and BW . I enjoy seeing everthing getting ready to open. Down to 15 days and we are back!!

I just told my sister it will be one of the best runs she's had. In Feb. I ran everyday - changing my route. It is soo peaceful and beautiful to run in the quiet (with just a few others). I always ran between 6-7 (I'm guessing) and there would be maybe 3 of us at first - by the time I was done it'd be up a bit - maybe 10.

Just remembered - I tried follow the map for the long run and I ended up getting lost - I don't think it all has sidewalks and that threw me off. Maybe I was just lost too :confused3

Thank you for the great replies. I am really looking forward to the mornings by myself. I feel like October is an eternity away :rolleyes1

It is an amazing are for early risers. I'm not usually one myself but one morningI did get up quite early and wandered around the Boardwalk... the most lovely thing is the Boardwalk Bakers, which glws in the early morning light because they get there so early to bake. I don't think it actually opens until around 7, though, I could be wrong.

Don't know much about the paths.. I just enjoy walking the entire circumfrence of Crescent Lake, or sitting on a bench and enjoying the mild morning air. A great time to vacation from your family while on vacation! :sunny:

The Beach Club Marketplace opens at 7am, too. Yummy yogurt and fruit parfaits, pastries and coffee and I think a hot egg dish.

DH is an avid runner. The Epcot resorts are his favorite place to run in the early morning. He loves running from the resort to MGM and back. This can be done easily at any of the Epcot resorts. He's usually out there pretty early and very few people are around.
