Early parking for Tusker House

Hi,
I currently have 8am ADRs for Donald's Safari Breakfast at Tusker House on 11/13. I recently read a post somewhere that the AK parking lot doesn't actually open until around 8:30. Called dining line, CM said parking lot usually open by 8, but he couldn't make any guarantees. I made 2nd ADR for 9:05, so now have to cancel one. We would definitely be driving, so wondering if anyone has any experience with this.

I have the same question as we have ADRs from 8:10 and want to do most of our own driving this time. My girls were so much more comfortable when we drove rather than riding the buses. They were fine in the morning when it was new and fun, but hot, sweaty, tired little ones enjoy their carseats at the end of a long day.

The AK parking lots open at 7:45am. Don't worry if it takes you a few extra minutes to get to Tusker House. They know the situation and will still seat you.

Thanks GoofyMom... I guess I'm going to hold on to my early ADR and hope for the best. I really love the idea of finishing breakfast and maybe getting a little head start in AK... it will be our first morning in WDW.

We had an 8:00 ADR at TH in March and had a rental car. We had no problems getting into the parking lot in time to make our ressie.

The only place I've seen anyone mention a problem with getting in is on the Mom's panel on the WDW site. Thanks for your input!

The parking lot did open at 7:45 when we were there earlier this year. There were a lot of people ahead of us to get into the restaurant as the disney buses were arriving much earlier than we were able to park, so we did have a line to check in and get seated.

Do you already have plans once you leave Tusker House. My daughters favorite thing in AD is the safari, so should we do that first or just get a FP. Maybe we should ride it then and get a FP.

If the Safari is a priority, I would ride it right after breakfast since it is right there. We did this after our 8:00 ADR and also went to Rafiki's Planet Watch. We had no trouble getting FP's for EE after all this and then we didn't have to backtrack to Africa at all.

We head right for the Safari, my husband heads up the line with the girls to drop the stollers off at stroller parking (it's about halfway up the line) while I get fast passes. They wait for me at stroller parking and then we wait in line together. It goes by fast and then we have fastpasses to use. My oldest makes us ride it again immediately.

We were hoping to go on the Safari right after breakfast as it is the thing my son is most looking forward to. I also heard that the animals tend to be more active earlier in the morning.
If we end up running a bit late due to parking- do I call the dining line, or is there a way to get a direct # for TH?
