do they apply to those staying at the campgrounds?

do they give you a special card when you check in so you have something to show them for EMH

since you have the keys to your own trailers or motorhomes they don't give you a room key - what do they give you?

what's the longest anyone stays at the campgrounds? we usually stay in a resort for 14 nights but would love LOVE to stay longer in the campgrounds one summer

The Key to the Kingdom for the campground is the same as what you get for a hotel, plastic card just like a cc.

Some people stay for several months but you have to re-register every 30 days

Hope that helps

Kurby-

I recognize your name from somewhere.

Probably the cruise board.

To make things clear, Fort Wilderness guests are full-fledged, official, on-site guests.

Everyone gets issued a Key to The World Card (KTTW) just like other WDW resort guests. These are the exact same cards issued to the guests in the other WDW resorts. Campsite guests get one for each member of their party. Even those with tents or RV's still will need these to open the returning guest gate at the Fort, as well as the Comfort Stations during certain hours of the night, when they are kept locked. If you a staying in a cabin, the KTTW card unlocks your cabin door, too. These are also used for identification for the Extra Magic Hours, just like for other on-site guests. If you so choose, the KTTW card can be tied to your credit card, and used for purchases all around WDW, just like the other resort guests do.

great - thanks for the info. i knew they had to issue something since you are staying on site afterall.

yup i've been on the cruise boards - we went on our first cruise last mothers day (the first podcast cruise) and we're hoping to get on the new years Dream 5 night 2011/2012 but we're waiting until we come back from WDW in Aug before we decide on this (we are we kidding we're 95% sure we'll go)

:)

Great! I knew I recognized your name.

So, welcome to the camping boards!

I know you camped at the Fort as a kid, but I'm guessing you haven't been back as an adult?

You should definitely plan a trip to the Fort.

It's better than DCL!

And, I love DCL!

we were there twice as a kid - and i wish i could say i remember it but i don't :(

we have a tent - a kickass tent but still a tent. i just can't seem to see us staying 2 weeks in a tent.

maybe i just need to get over that way of thinking because i don't think we're getting a motorhome anytime soon. which is when i wanted to camp at FW.
