I was looking into different packages for our upcoming Universal trip.

When I read the fine print on the Wizarding Package it said early admission was one hour prior to opening of IOA. Rides which will be open were the three in the HP area and The Cat in the Hat. "◊ Requires theme park admission. Early Park Admission begins one (1) hour prior to Universal's Islands of Adventure regular scheduled park opening for Universal Parks & Resorts Vacations guests who purchase a vacation package including hotel and theme park tickets. Current offer valid 7 days a week for travel 5/28/10 - 12/31/10; valid only at Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey™, Flight of the Hippogriff™, Dragon Challenge™ and The Cat in the Hat™. If technical problems arise or the opening of an attraction is delayed another Universal's Islands of Adventure attraction will open for Early Park Admission."

When I read the fine print on the buy 3 days stay for 5 package it said the the early admission was half an hour prior to opening. This one just stated select rides. " ***Requires theme park admission. Valid for Universal Parks & Resorts Vacations guests who purchased a complete vacation including hotel and theme park admission. Early Park Admission begins thirty minutes prior to Islands of Adventure regular opening hour. Current offer valid 7 days a week for travel 1/1/10–5/27/10; valid only at select rides. If technical problems arise or the opening of an attraction is delayed another will open for Early Park Admission."

:confused3 What do you think? Does this mean that they will have two different Early Admission times? Or do you think it was just the product of being unsure when the Early Admission would be? Does it apply only to packages that include both hotel and park tickets or can you have an annual pass?

Thanks for the help.

Jean

PS both of the above are from Universal's website

Is one package from 1/1/10 to 5/27/10 and the other from 5/28/10 to 12/31/10? So they are for different dates. I hope this is what you meant:cool1:It looks like maybe the complete package; hotel & ticket.

I did not see that but that only explains the time difference. If I book an on property hotel directly and not with a package does that mean no early admission?

Has anyone done the current package and done early admission? How about without the package?

Does anyone know the hieght restriction for Forbidden Journey?
I don't believe that information has been released yet.

Here's my guess...the package with five days is the hour early admission and the three day package only has 1/2 hour early admission. Maybe it's an additional perk for staying longer? But the real question is...if you just stayed onsite w/o a package, would you still get early admission? I've heard all onsite guests will receive early admission.

It's 48" (as detailed in the Universal Vacations brochure)

Hmmmm - just had an email from Universal Parks & Resorts~Guest Contact Center pointing out that I haven't bought tickets as part of my HP package & asking if I'd like to add some.
The email doesn't say the package isn't valid without tickets though :confused3

Hi, When I booked a hotel room only(RPR)I already purchased the $99.00 tickets from the universal ticket store online.I was told when booking the room about the 1hr early addmission and I 'm pretty sure it was also listed as a perk.Weeks later came out the facts about using your FOTL pass once a day per attraction@WWOHP.So I think if you show up 1hr with your room key & ticket they will let you in. But I will ask when I am there. So you might want to call:thumbsup2:cool1::cool1:
