Early October weather

Usually it is quite warm in October during the day, cooling off more at night. Sometimes it will be cooler though, even during the day. It would be best to bring layers.

The last 2 times we have been in Oct it's been 40 degrees or thereabouts every day. We are going again this Oct and will be packing light!

HOT!! At least to us more cooler, dry climate guests! ;) I would say average is high 70s and mid to upper 80s, but with humidity it feels hotter. Pack light in the day, and bring more for at night (the humidity also makes it get cold at night).

Um, not sure if you mean celsius?

Its usually pretty warm most of October, some days can get pretty hot.

I was there last year around mid October and it was sunny and warm during the day, I was comfortable in cropped leggings and a tshirt, and at night I was fine in my light jacket

Yep! Sorry I'm from New Zealand. In American speak, over 100 degrees every day. It doesn't get that hot here......ever!

Haha, no problem. I always have trouble with that when talking with european colleagues. I never know if they are complaining about it being too hot or too cold lol. I always have to google what the translated degrees are.

It was a lot warmer than I'm used to when I was there a week and a half into October last year. Quite a bit more humid too so it stayed warm and muggy even after the sun went down.

In comparison, the year before about the same time was mild and pleasant. Much drier, though, so a light jacket was good to have after the sun set and it started to cool off. I much prefer the drier heats myself if I have to be in the heat at all.

Basically as someone already said: layers.

I've been there the past 4 Octobers and will be there the first weekend in October this year for a day-trip. It's been hot each time during the day, cooler at night. As others have said, bring layers. I think it's typically in the 80s during the day and 50s-60s at night. It can be slightly cooler, but in early October, more likely it will be warmer. There's also always a chance of high winds that time of year, but they will be hot, dry winds.

The winds may feel warm when you are in the sun, but when you are going on the water slides at the resort pools, the lines are always in the shade and those winds feel freezing in october! Have stayed at GCH or DLH every October the past few years.

Last year I went the first weekend in October and it was HOT and humid. It cooled off at night but by cooled off I mean I was comfortable in a shorts and tshirts instead of hot.

I brought my Disneyland parasol I bought a long long time ago( I think they still sell them) and I had shade no matter what line I was standing in. It helped a lot!

Even in Northern California it's still pretty warm/hot until the end of October. We are going the first weekend in October and we will likely be packing shorts and t-shirts with a light jacket for the evening.

10th October 2015...

The bit about being cold in and out of the water is true too - I think it is because the humidity is so low the water evaporates quickly off your body giving a cooling sensation. In more humid climates the water is slower to evaporate.
