Early Oct. onsite discounts?

Do you think there will be any? I've been checking every day for GCH, and it's over $400 a night for standard room

Hey there, if you are going in early October through mid October, you could use the Gay Days rate. Gay Days at the parks is the 5th through the 7th and they get about 50% off the hotels. I think GCH is $225/night, DLH is $175 and PPH is $169. You don't have to be part of the convention to use the discount either. People have called the Gay Days administration and they have said it's perfectly ok to use the rate if you will be there at that time. I just booked PPH for one night. It was $197 after taxes. The first CM didn't know about it, but she transferred me to someone who did. I asked for that Gay Days rate.

I would love to use the Gay Day rates! Do you have to prove you are part of the convention or anything? We are there the second week of October, so the convention is over but the rates still apply.

If I were to buy theme park tickets for our group of 8 it saves me $818!!! That is amazing. The hotel rates would be a huge bonus as well.

No, they say that you don't have to prove you are part of anything (how would you do that anyway? lol). Just going during that time is sufficient.

Thank you for the Gay Days rate information. I booked PPH at $169 b4 tx from Oct 9-12th. I had to book one night at the rack rate to check out on the 13th.

Who would have thought you could use the group rate without being part of the group and after the events?

The lower rate tipped the scale to stay on property. Now we will be inside the Disney bubble

I was going to suggest this discount to my friend, anyone know if you can upgrade to a view room? I only see the option for a standard room for GCH...

The group reservation agent said that they are only allowed to sell the standard view rooms as part of the Gay Days contract. Sorry.

Great info..thanks! I just looked at this site and it says tickets have to be purchased by 10/4.....when I put tickets in the cart, I was surprised you didn't have to enter a conference or event code to get the special rate.

The 2 day park hopper ticket through this site would be $147 per person as opposed to $200 per person going through the Disney website. It also said the tickets were valid from 10/3-10/16, so you can use these tickets after the gay days.

Seems strange they would let you do that but i won't argue with a deal...this seems like the best price I have found.
