Help! I can either take my DS (6) November 2 - 6, 2005 (regular season) or December 3 - 7 (value season).

November + He loves to swim and weather should be perfect.

December + Holiday Decoration.

Which week do you think would have the least crowds? That's the primary criteria.

Any opinions? (hold it . . . of course, there will be opinions - we are all dis'ers :teeth: )

My favorite time of year to go to WDW is that first week in December. The parks are decorated for the Holidays and the crowds seem to be smaller. Now, I have been when the weather has been beautiful, balmy and great for swimming. I have also been when it is sweatshirt and jeans weather and at night can get cool. Being from Massachusetts, we think that is just great considering the alternative here. It does get quite cold here and snow, snow, snow..

So, I would weigh the chance of the weather being "iffy" with the idea of smaller crowds and walking on rides that you would have to wait for during peak season.

Good luck with your decision!!!

I vote for first week of December. It was really warm last year at that time when we were there after Thanksgiving!! We went to the pool and beach twice before our MVMCP's!!!

The only way Disney gets MORE magical.. is seeing it decked out for the holidays. You DS would LOVE the Christmas Party too!!

The pools are all heated on property, so even if you get less than warm weather, you can still swim. (its just chilly getting out). My kids still swim in January every year at WDW!!

There is so many extra things to do and see the first week of December.. The osbourne lights in MGM, The holiday story tellers in Epcot, MVMCP, Characters in holiday and winter outfits, you can resort hop and see the awesome decorations they have!! The parades all have a holiday touch to them.. Plus every park is decked out for the season and you can hear christmas muisc everywhere. Check out the thread showing the Christmas pictures!! That will really make you want to go in December!!
