Hi, friends & neighbors...you'll all totally sympathize w/me, I know, when you hear that I "have to" go to Disney for a business trip next month (I know, my heart is broken! -- can you see my huge grin across cyberspace???)
Anyway...I got lucky and college son and his girlfriend can go w/me, and I got us a villa at OKW for 3 days prior to the business conference--I'm SO happy!
So, here's my transportation question..(first, I know I can take cabs...just contemplating whether there's an alternative)...
We're at OKW thru Friday night (check out Sat a.m.)...we move to the Yacht Club for Sat & Sun nights...
Business starts w/a b'fast Sat morning...the group is gathering at the Poly to take a Disney-provided bus over to Grand FLoridian for a pvt b'fast that starts at 8...
First question: Is there a bus from OKW to MK that would get me to MK by 7:30? Then, is the monorail open that early, so I can get to the GF (or the Poly if I want to join the group to bus over to the GF?)
Then, there's another b'fast on Sunday, in a private room at the American Adventure at Epcot...I already asked if I could walk over from the Yacht Club, but Disney told the event coordinator it would be better for me to go to the Poly and join the group on the Disney-provided bus, as they will be "behind the scenes" which will pose an access problem for me if I come in from the Yacht Club...So...next question: leaving the Yacht Club at 7 a.m., is there any Disney transportation to the Poly? (MK bus?...can't figure how I'd get to the Epcot monorail, even if it were open at 7, w/out a cab...and if I'm gonna catch a cab, I might as well take it to the Poly!)? If I can take a bus to the MK, is the monorail open at 7:15-7:30 so I can take it over to the Poly?
It does seem awfully "goofy" to me to leave the Yacht Club to go to the Poly to wind up at Epcot--anyone have any ideas how to avoid that?
None of this is a "big deal"...I'm so happy to get the trip! And a cab from OKW to the Poly, and again from the Yacht Club to the Poly is a very small price to pay to get to take the trip! But thought some of you might have some ideas I hadn't thought of...I actually like Disney transportation...almost an attraction itself (especially the monorail!)...so I'd rather take it, even if takes a lot longer...just don't know how early the buses/monorail get started!
