We are staying at the Beach Club Villas in August. If we want to get to the MK early via monorail, can we enter through the International Gateway and walk to the front of Epcot to get to the Monorail? And along with that, what is the earliest we can enter through the Int. Gateway to do this? My guess would be that the monorail would start running at 8 AM from TTC to Epcot so it would be at Epcot approx 15 min or so later so we would need to be entering the Gateway around 7:50.

EPCOT doesn't open until 9. So that would not work. Bus would be your option

I understand that Epcot opens at 9 AM. However, you can enter the Gateway before 9 AM for EPCOT Breakfast Reservations. I am not sure if they let you enter as a cut through to the monorail though. We last stayed at BCV in 2009 and I don't remember if they let us do that or not.

You can only enter with an ADR for breakfast. You can not enter simply to walk through.

PPs are correct. They will cross-check ADR names to let those folks with breakfast reservations in at both Epcot's main entrance and the International Gateway. They will not allow people through to go up to the monorail. And FWIW, by the time you walk all the way up to the monorail, wait, and transfer at TTC, it would probably just as fast (or faster) to catch the bus.

You would also need a park hopper to do that or you would use up 2 days on regular tickets, one for Epcot and the other for the MK.

If you were to be allowed to enter the IG prior to park opening, you would be held at the fountain area, along with everyone else. You are not allowed to walk all the way through the park. It's as simple as that.
I had a tour that started from the front of Epcot, outside the park, by the monorail platform. We had to meet up for 8:30ish. I was staying at BWV...so figured the IG was a great way to go. Nope....not allowed to do that. I got lucky in that it was an EMH morning at Epcot. So got to enter at 8, rode Soarin' and was right on time for the start of the tour.
If you don't have an ADR, you won't be allowed in. If getting to the front of Epcot to ride the monorail is that important to you, I would take a cab over.

We were allowed to walk through EPCOT prior to opening to get to a tour meet point outside the main entrance.

And there you have it.....that Disney consistency!! I was told, twice, that I wouldn't be allowed to do that. By CMs at the IG too boot!!

We were told that we could not cut through for a Youth Education Series class, but I think tours are different.
