How likely is Early Morning Magic in October? Specifically I'm looking at Tuesday, October 9th.

My amateur online research says not too likely that week (Columbus Day), but I keep hoping since I have 3 girls ages 4-7 who would love it!

Depends on which park you're looking at, but for 10/9 there aren't any morning hours scheduled at any of the parks ... 10/9 is currently scheduled to have evening hours at Epcot from 9PM - 11PM. Since evening hours are already scheduled at Epcot, I can't see them adding morning hours anywhere else. During Columbus week it looks like current morning hours are:

10/7 - HS
10/8 - AK
10/9 - none
10/10 - none
10/11 - Epcot
10/12 - MK
10/13 - AK

If memory serves, they've not held Early Morning Magic during weeks with high crowds. I guess there's always a chance they could add it, but I'd call it doubtful.

The OP is talking about the ticketed event Early Morning Magic, not Extra Magic Hours, which is what I think you're talking about.

Have you seen this thread? https://www.disboards.com/threads/t...gic-faqs-see-post-2-for-latest-dates.3651152/

Post 2 in the thread has dates EMM was offered the past two years. In 2017 EMM was offered Oct 5 and 17 with Columbus Day on October 9 so it did not happen on Tuesday after Columbus Day. That Tuesday was skipped in 2016 as well. Maybe MK opens early for all since it’s a busy week in which case no EMM.

OP wasn't talking about EMH, but about EMM...
Confusing,right?
EMM is a paid events that allows guests into the park early for a limited number of rides as well as breakfast. There's only 200 guests I believe.

I was really hoping it would be an option for our Columbus week trip too! Not looking good from everything that I've found. I snagged BOG PPO breakfasts on our MK days to give us a little advantage on Mine Train and Peter Pan, but from everything I've read, opening times will likely be pulled forward to 8:00 am making those unnecessary as well. Sigh. At this point, I guess I'll just keep my fingers crossed that most folks will stay in bed...

We were there the week before Thanksgiving last year and really hoped they would offer it--had alternate park plans and everything. They didn't. It seems like during the busier times (I didn't really think that the parks were that busy during our trip but TP disagrees) they don't offer it.

Nothing to add except I will commiserate with you. In early June we only have one park day (at MK) and had hoped for EMM. it was held that week in 2016 but not that week in 2017...so 50/50 chance, right? Unfortunately no EMM. I was really hoping for it since we just had such a short amount of time for rides this trip but alas, I ended up booking to PPO at BOG just to see if we can get an extra ride on 7DMT since my 4 year old thrill rider is finally tall enough.

I have done this exact same thing. It would be great if Disney leaves opening times alone to get the BOG PPO breakfast advantage (plus I'm sure eating breakfast would be more fun for my kids than standing around waiting for rope drop.) I suspect they will change the opening hours, but we might get lucky!

Don't know if it's an option, but the week in March when we were there it was NOT offered.
BUT, DAH was...
I would also do that again in a heartbeat!
Although, it wasn't limited to 200 guests (rumor was 2,000), every ride was open and we missed nothing. Longest wait was 10 minutes for 7DMT. We hit every single ride possible! And many of them twice and 3 times! (Astro Orbiter 2xs, without getting off, and HM 3x, BTMRR & 7D x2 as well)
So worth the extra cost!
