Early Morning Hours

A friend of mine suggested the "worst" time to visit the Magic Kingdom is on the day that early morning hours are scheduled (even if you are a Disney Hotel guest). He says that everyone goes to that park that day and the other parks (say MGM) will be empty. What do all of you experts think? This will be my first trip (I am staying at CBR) and all of this imformation has me confused!!!!!! Thanks!!!

CBR = my second favorite resort!!!!

MK morning EMH has never been packed when I went - it's the evening EMH that threatens the park for the day. It also depends what month you're going.

I agree that the morning EMH is fine. It worked great for us in June. When we were there the evening EMH was a total waste of time. Way too crowded to enjoy. As the previous poster said, it depends of what time of the year you are going.
From our experiences, all the parks at opening are great. You can get a lot done in the first few hours whether it's EMH or not.

We love morning emh. We plan to be at that park everytime if we can.

Early Morning is great IF you get there truly for early entry. You can get a ton done before the crowds hit. We knocked out all the MK biggies at least once each, several of them a couple times, many smaller attractions & had lunch by Noon on an EMH morning in August.

I don't like the Evening EMHs tho. Every time I've gone, they've been packed. I wish I could say otherwise, but the evening EMH Park starts to fill up a couple hours before close & gets increasingly crowded as the EMH starts. I avoid the evening EMH Parks on those days.

The best thing to do is to see which park had the EMH in the evening the night before and go to that park the next morning. Ex. MK has EMH Monday night, go to MK Tuesday a.m. People like to hit the EMH, so the park is usually less crowded the next day.

We are going in Early Oct., and even though this isn't a real busy time at WDW, we are making it a POINT to skip evening EMHs. The only evening EMH we are planning is AK b/c it closes so early most of the time anyway and we would like to stay in it longer. I, too, would say am EMHs aren't as bad and can actually be an advantage, but the evening ones are a mess.

We plan on going to MK on an EMH day Oct. 12th, but the day before (11th) is the Hall. Party and the day after is also (13) and the park is open late for the party on those nights. Do you think that will have impact on the crowds at MK? We do not have tickets to the hall. party. Do you think crowds might be lower because everyone is there for the Halloween party so they might attend another park on the EMH day? :confused3

we haven't been there for the hall.party but we have been there during the christmas party times and i never noticed a big difference in park attendence on those days ( in fact for the first couple times i thought it was a cast only christmas party). i would think most would go to the party and skip the emh( guessing you mean the night) though since a lot go to wdw at that time for the party.( speculation since evening emh is new since we went but i don't think it was there during the parties last yr. so i guess it would all speculation) if you mean the morning i am sure it would be less crowded since anyone at the party probably wouldn't be going early the next day.

does anyone notice a difference in morning emh since they started the evening? i am wondering if it is even less busy than usual since most would rather sleep in and go later
