We leave for OKW in a couple weeks (March 1-10), and I am trying to decide what types of clothes I need to pack. I'm used to the October, December, and January temps and even the Hot September ones, but I have no idea what to expect for the first part of March. Any experiences to enlighten me?

I want to try our DVC in some other seasons than we have done before. I don't care much for the heat of August/September, and I don't particularily like lots of rain.

Your experience with the Oct Dec & Jan is about what you can expect. In other words it's "iffy".

Really!!??!! I was expecting warmer. We had absolutely perfect weather this last January. For the most part it was lows in the 40-50 range and highs in the low to mid 70 range. Only one day was it under 60, and that day was nice and sunny, so we thought it was perfect. I wasn't thinking I was going to need a jacket this time, but maybe that's not true!

We were in Orlando toward the middle of March '04, and it was chilly enough for us to wear sweatshirts. We had gone up to Blue Springs SP and we were happy to buy hot chocolate during the day.

we've been to WDW twice in March over the past 4 years.....and had 2 VERY different experiences....

last year we were there from 3/7 - 3/11. temps were cool in the mornings (mostly upper 40's / low 50's....although one day dropped down to about 38!!) but always warmed up as the day went on. we found ourselves wearing sweatshirts at the parks in the AM, then taking them back to the car at lunchtime.

we were also there in 2002 from 3/25 - 3/29....WOW - we hit a heat wave that week. every night we'd come back from the parks and catch the late local news - "Another record temperature today" they said almost every day! temps were in the low - mid 90's all that week!

so......it's hit or miss! this probably doesn't help you much....but it brings back good memories for me!!! :rotfl:

Hey Diane

Our only Mar. trip so far was in the 1st week 2 years ago. I remember it being warmer than our Dec-Jan trips but not unbearable. We were in shorts and t-shirts most days. I would carry a jacket or sweatshirt just in case. Not as hot as Sept-Oct though.

Have Fun!!

I'm going Feb26th, looks like I'll take jeans and sweatshirt,

We have been going for 2 weeks beginning the last Sat. in Feb. for the last 5 years.

We have seen temps in the 90s and temps in the 30s. (30s just once, 2 years ago. Beginning at around dusk, we couldn't even go out for a walk.)

We are from the north, so we dress warm when we leave for the airport. Jeans, tee-shirt, sweatshirt, light jacket. (layers). Bring a carry-on with your shorts easy to get at, that is large enough to hold these later. Then when we get to the Orlando airport, we change into shorts and put our jeans, sweatshirt, and light jacket into our bag. We do this in reverse when we go home. (North home).

We pack another sweatshirt and a pair of sweatpants (comfy for evening walks that may be chilly), 3 or 4 pairs of shorts and several tee shirts. 2 pairs of heavy socks, just in case. (we wash a few times during our stay).

This way we have access to another sweatshirt, jeans, and even a light jacket if needed.

It's warm enough to swim most days, mornings and evenings are cool for the most part, but we have had a year (2002) where it was 80s and 90s the whole time with 60s at night. So, go prepared for anything, but mostly warm.
