Early lunch at Biergarten?

Hello all,
Has anyone had an early lunch ADR at the Biergarten? I've read that the floor shows don't start until 1:15; is it awkwardly quiet before then? We've got toddlers, and earlier would be better, but we'd hate to just sit in "silence" when one of the big draws to the restaurant is the music and performers.

The other option would be dinner ADRs, but those are more expensive for pretty much the same menu.

Feedback please!!

They open at noon, so early in the sense of 11-11:30 is not an option.

If you make a 12:15-12:30 ADR you should be seated, greeted, and halfway through your first plates when the band hits the stage a little after 1.

It's never awkwardly quiet in there, even when the band is not on stage (they do about 20 minutes' worth of performing each hour or so, the rest of the time there is no performance but there is a little soft background music). The place is huge, and when it's full of diners there is plenty of atmosphere even without the band.

On the up side, with toddlers, you could probably get them to eat a bit before the band comes on and draws their attention away from lunch and toward the dance floor. :thumbsup2

was going to say that you should be there when the band is there because little kids LOVE it. There is the problem of trying to get them to eat when they'd rather be dancing though.

Thank you so much for your help! I was even considering pushing the reservation up to 12 when they open, figuring we could hear music as we leave, but I think our 12:25 will work out perfectly. I did have the concern you mentioned about wanting to play and not eat when the musicians come out!!
