Early June?

So I am planning a trip to DLR June 7-11, 2010. What is it like in the parks at that time of the year? Though I have not been to Southern California since 1994, I seem to recall that schools are still in session, so the crowd maybe aren't too bad, though perhaps this is wishful thinking on my part.

Most SoCal schools are still session at that time. There are grad nights which will affect park hours and Magic Mornings. Weekdays will likely have reduced entertainment. Crowds will likely be moderate. Weather will likely be good.

Awesome. Thanks for the links. After the stifling heat and humidity of WDW in September, I am looking forward to the weather in So Cal next June.

June 10th is a Grad Nite and might effect your "last hoorah" plans so be aware of that while planning, and check the park for hours and such.

Grad Night. Does that affect the parks the rest of the day. Doesn't Grad Night start after the parks close at night to other guests? In other words, if we went to, say, California Adventure on the 10th, would the fact that is it Grad Night have any impact on the rest of that day?

Coincidentally, my parents had their first date on a Disneyland Grad Night in 1968. I know everyone was just dying to know that

Grad nights start after the parks close and finish before they open. Here are the effects:

1. DL has to close early on the day of the grad night so you get less park hours

2. If there is a Magic Morning after a grad night the previous night then DL reschedules it to a different day of the week.

3. It may be noisier during the night. I believe they do fireworks in the middle of the night so if you are staying nearby you may not sleep as well.

Can't answer about Grad Night, but the trend among schools seems to be starting mid August and getting out end of May. The schools in our area just started doing this and I hear it more and more. Even if the schools right in the DLR area aren't out yet there will be plenty who are and will be there. Also, as we saw this June, the full summer events didn't start until mid June. We went at the end of June this year and decided this summer we would go in July like we have before.

DL closed at 9PM rather than 11PM or midnight
DCA closed at 6PM rather than 8PM or 9PM
