Early January visit ?s

What is US/IoA like in early January? I am wondering if the crowds leave on Jan 2nd or do they stay through the following weekend? Is it more, less or about the same as WDW?

Crowds are heavy around New Year's, but they may taper off as January moves on. I went to Sea World in the middle of January and it was very quiet.
