My family and I will be in WDW from 1/1/06 to 1/5/06 and then going on the cruise 1/5/06. I am wondering how the crowds will be each of those 4 days. Will 1/2/06 be light since I imagine people would be heading home then? Also with the extra Magic hours at MK at till 3 am is it possible that most people there would have been up late 1/1 and we might not feel overwhelmed going there late on the 2nd? Is there a large local crowd on the 2nd? Also I am assuming 1/3 and 1/4 will be light.

Any insight you guys could provide would be appreciated.

Thanks

Buddy

welcome to the disboards.

I went to WDW the first week of January in 2000, and found that the crowds got smaller during the week. The first days were fairly crowded, but manageable. I was there in January of 2005, starting on the 7th, and the crowds were excellent.

It will be interesting to see how the crowds will be affected since New Years is on Sunday--I bet you're right in that the crowds might be less on the 2nd. I am flying in late on 1/4 so we'll see how that goes.

We will also be there that week. I am hoping for low crowds and good weather. :sunny:

Will be there 2nd - 8th. No school around here and going for the Marathon weekend events.

We'll be there the 17th - 25th hope the crowds are light then too, taking my 83 year old mother in law!

I am going for the first time not in the summer. Looking forward to the lower crowds and cooler weather. We're going the 5th-9th.
