EARLY flight home...

So I had to change our flight next month to come home Sunday vs. Monday so my daughter wouldn't have to miss that day of school. Anyway, my options were 6:15 AM for $94, or the evening flight for $393. Well, paying that much was out of the question (booked on SW so changes possible). So I guess I can expect to be picked up at our resort by 3 AM?? What time does security even open at MCO? Oh, and we are planning at being at MK Saturday night with EMH til 1 AM lol, good thing it is also daylight savings so we do get that extra hour. Oy, anyone have any experience with this?

Security will be open. There are even earlier flights than 615am leaving Orlando.

And yes, the bus will pick you up around 3 to 315ish.

Uber is not going to save you a lot of time. Maybe an hour, if you push it. I just flew out on Thursday at 7:25 am. And there were quite a few people at the airport. DME picked us up at 4:15 am, so we were at the stop by 4 am. We packed everything we could the night before. All I did was brush my teeth, put deodorant on, and get dressed. At that early hour no one looks glamorous.

Uber / town car could save you 1/2 hour at most as the actual drive is 30/40 minutes, IMHO you really should arrive at MCO at least the recommended 2 hours prior even in the early morning. RAC won't be open at the resorts yet so you will have to check bags and the TSA lines there are long - pretty much all the time! For us the cost doesn't add up for 30 mins of extra time but for others its well worth the cost and personal service.

Another option, maybe for a future trip, is to spend that last night at the Hyatt in the MCO terminal. That way, you just head downstairs for your flight.
