We are booking for Feb 2-10. Your first visit . net has it as the lowest crowds all year long based on their chart. We have been the second week of December which was super manageable and we've been the week right after labor day which I thought was really great for crowds. Will Feb hopefully be similar or better? I did just read there is some new Arts festival starting at Epcot and that will be going on. Not sure if that will impact crowds drastically as its new? Also a lot of the sites Ive read with calendars do show it being lower but not as much as I'd think with ************** showing it to be the lowest. We can handle some crowds of course as I know Disney is never empty but we just don't like wall to wall and we tour smart. Just hope we are making a good choice with this month and trying a different time of year. I saw some new site Disney by age it has a calendar and it only has a few parks the entire week with green and I'd think it would have a lot more. Thanks :)

There is always something going on at Disney, so don't plan around events. Early Feb is a fabulous time to go. Feb gets busy later in the month with Feb breaks and the Pres Day holiday. I wouldn't stress about crowds. It's always crowded now at Disney. Just go with a good attitude and you will be fine. We loved going early Feb. Weather was great, crowds low.

I go then every year. It's slightly busier than early September but the weather is usually much nicer barring a cold snap.

Sharing a few events I know will take place then... UDA Nationals (dance teams) Feb 2-4; UCA Nationals (cheer) Feb 10-11; Mardi Gras people will begin to come in on Feb 9.

I feel like the more popular crowd calendars get, the less reliable they are. Everyone is relying on them to go during the slower times, but then those times end up not being slow because everyone is going. I think a good touring plan is far more important than the week you go.

For reference my post concerned the very first week of February. I usually go the week of the end of January/beginning of February.

We went this year from Feb. 5 - 9th and had a wonderful time. The weather was perfect! Warm enough to enjoy the pool at the resort but not the usual Disney swelter either.

Crowds were very reasonable. We were able to watch Wishes from the hub (in between Chrystal Palace and Adventureland) and only picked out spot maybe 15 minutes before it started.

The other thing to consider is that the parks are not open as late as they are during the Summer so it's a great time of year to take advantage of all of the great things to do at the resorts and Disney Springs without feeling like you are missing out on valuable park time.

In 2018, the weekend of Feb 10th is considered Mardi Gras weekend. It is also the weekend of National Cheer competition. It will be busy.

So Saturday is the 10th. Assuming Friday and on will be busy because of those events? Not the entire week leading up to that? We are leaving Saturday the 10th and our off park day will be Friday the 9th.

Im hoping for great weather. We went in Dec one year and it was freezing like in the 40's. Were from VA so it wasnt fun. Then we went in Sept and we loved the low crowds. BUT the heat was unbearable. At least I thought so. Id really like nice weather like 70's but I know its hit or miss. So im praying for at least one trip where were not freezing or sweating to death lol

Id hope dance competition wont make to much difference on crowds there, cheer we will be gone on the 10th and for Mardi Gras.

It can get chilly, but I actually like chilly wether for park touring. I hate the blistering heat and humidity of the summer. I will take the cooler temps any day.

Cheer competition starts Friday 2/9, so your plans will be fine.

we never found the cheerleaders to be a problem. We were there many times they were. They compete during certain days. In the parks, we found them to be fine. Sometimes they traveled in small groups, but seemed well behaved. Maybe a little "teenage-girlish" but nothing bad! Just loud and "OMG!!! LIKE I TOTALLY LOVE THIS RIDE!" ****insert tons of giggling****** kind of stuff.

I was at WDW 1/29/17-2/4/17. Sunday through Wednesday were low crowd days, but Thursday saw the crowds increasing through the day and Friday and Saturday was busier than the earlier days of the week. That said, they were still lower crowds than during my first week of June trip last month, which was not too bad.

Well my family one day may be there with the cheerleaders. My 8 year old does competitive cheer but weve yet to compete in FL, our older team has though. Im hoping one day we do. There are a few big competitions down that way.

Early February should be a great time, although the weather can be a little hit or miss. I wouldn't worry about the cheer groups in the parks, but they can take over the value and some lower scale moderate resorts. So if your booked at one of those resorts, you may want to look at switching if you don't want a lot of extra noise, etc.

We are booked at Beach Club Villas :)

I've gone then 3 times. 1 time it was nice, warm and sunny. 2 times it was colder and rainy. I don't think crowds were bad but we did run into cheerleaders at least once.

went late January early feb two years ago - chilly during our trip - rainy as well. Can't predict the weather though but I can tell you it's a toss up. I've also been during early February and it was wonderful weather. I will tell you this AVOID PRESIDENT'S DAY WEEK - AND THE WEEKEND PRIOR. It's horrible. I think the Northeast has a winter break and it was the worst crowds I've ever seen. UGH
