We are staying at the Embassy Suites ( a Good Neighbor Hotel ) . I've been told that I can buy park- hopper tickets at the hotel. Will we be eligiable for early entry since I didn't buy from Disney? Also, do they really check at the gate which hotel you are at? I know that at WDW anybody that was there early got in.

<font color=navy>Disneyland Resort no longer has "early entry." Now, the park is open to all visitors at 8am, and it closes at 11pm.

Thanks! So why did I buy a 2002 "Official " Disney book that has wrong information? Is there anything else new that I should know?

The discontinuation of early entry was just announced in November and was effective January 6, so no guidebook would have that information. The official word is that the park will open early every day (one hour earlier than the stated opening time) to all guests. Previously, early entry was not offered on Wednesdays and Sundays, and on the days it was offered was only available to those staying onsite, those with packages at Good Neighbor Hotels, and those with certain types of multi-day passes.

Closing time also depends on the day of the week and the season. :)

So, DL opens an hour earlier than its posted time? If Disneyland.com says 9 am, the park will open at 8 am?

What about California Adventure?

Thanks for this info Michelle.

California Adventure does not have early entry...never did. :)
