Early Entry with Disney Room Key

When we were there in June they only gave us however many key cards we needed and they only had my name on it (since I booked the hotel). we ended up getting key cards for everyone since we have teens but they only looked at one of our key cards each day. This was a change from us all needing our own every time before that.
I think with the Rise of the Resistance opening, they have gone back to being stringent on everyone having a key card.

Since 2018, they only print the primary name on the keys. We have gone when they have asked for 1 key for a family, and also keys for each person, including all kids. Last trip, on a Sat EMH to Disneyland, everyone had to show a key. I'm assuming due to Rise, they have gotten even more strict with making sure all entering the MM line has the appropriate keys.
I agree. We were there in October with a group of nine and they asked adults for keys. We were there in November with just DH and DD and they only asked one of us for a key. We were back in January with about 8 people and they asked everyone for a key. We were there on day that RoTR opened and everyday we had EMH even DD was asked for a key.

maybe it probably helps. I know when we went there were plenty of people trying to piggy back on groups to get in early hoping to go to Star Wars area even though they couldn’t. We have also had times when employees have stopped us randomly as we were walking and wanted to see everyone’s tickets and room keys it was weird because I had them all and separated from the group for the bathroom and my husband was like please come back so we can go on a ride (it was like 3 years ago)

I think with the Rise of the Resistance opening, they have gone back to being stringent on everyone having a key card.

Bottels are recyclable and and Disney does indeed sort recycling out of trash.

Straws and lids are NOT recyclable and wind up in landfill vs being abel to drink from a cup like a big kid.

I applaud their leadership on starting to change the paradigm of consumer selfishness.

Customized room keys are more than just access to hotel doors, they are also how resort guests accesses many of their resort benefits and often double as souvenirs rather then being a purely disposable product.

The above, highlighted made me giggle. I would really think Disney wanted to make a positive difference in recycling if they stopped selling balloons.
