Early entry question

Hi everyone! We're doing a one day trip the first couple of days in August to see (what else) Harry Potter and I'm going to need to try to convince DH that we need to stay onsite, especially with the fantastic rates. We'd only be staying 1-2 nights and going only to IOA.

I read something about onsite guests getting early entry into IOA, but can't remember where I saw it or the details. Do onsite guests get early entry? If so, how early?

Thanks! :)

Early entry for on-site guests is a brand new thing starting with the opening of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and so we've been getting a lot of conflicting reports as to how early, what we get to ride, etc.

The rumours have ranged from an hour early for all on-site guests to the whole park to half an hour for on-site guests on a couple rides (Spiderman & Hulk or Harry Potter). There's been nothing confirmed on this yet but by August there should definitely be a system in place!

I'd say that the main selling feature of staying onsite is getting unlimited Express passes for your entire stay (potentially only once per day for Forbidden Journey, but we're not sure how long that will last for). You can't put a price on the savings in time alone and the extra relaxation it brings to the trip, and would give you time to visit US as well as IOA!

Thanks for the info! I'll keep watching these boards. :thumbsup2

I just booked a stay at Royal Pacific last night for the 19th of June and I was told over the phone that it would be:

Entrance 1 hour before the park opens for the following rides:
The Forbidden Journey, Dragon Challenge, Hippogriff, and Cat and the Hat

She also stated this would be available for both check-in day and check-out day. These attractions also are the ones only after June 18.

Talk about a way to get on the crowded attractions with no line!

I Just booked a stay at the Portofino for December and was told the same thing.

Right now you can book a Harry Potter adventure package that includes a citywalk party pass, onsite parking, early park admissions to IOA, breakfast at the 3 broomsticks, a commemorative park ticket and lodging. You have the ability to upgrade the room and tickets by number of days or add park to park feature.

When you stay at any of the onsite hotels, you automatically qualify for the express ride access.

I got a question with this Harry Potter Vacation Package. I purchased my tickets early in January, right before the 7 day unlimited park to park 99 dollar option was terminated. I am able to book a vacation package in a Universal Partner hotel, but remove the 3 day base ticket that comes with the package. However, it stills says I have early admission and the ressie at the Three Broomsticks. IS this some kind of glitch on the reservation? It clearly states in small letters that the package is for hotel and tickets only, and since I purchased the tickets before... don´t know if the ressie will pull through with the early admission and breakfast option. Help

early entry for hotel guests is not a new thing ....

the last 2 years i stayed on site, that option was available for the weekdays.
enjoy the park and select rides one hour prior to official opening.

just a perk to make guests happy.

last november, staying on site- we had early entry for jimmy neutron and shrek and hour before the park opened at 9:00.
